I have a Samsung rear projection TV:
Chassis : P62A(N)_Benhur-3
Model : HCR4755WX/XAA (HC-R4755W)
When viewing HD content from any source using the component inputs, dark colors are replaced by red. Mid-range colors, however seem to appear as intended. SD content looks fine and does not suffer from any color issues.
I have posted pictures of the problem at:

Any help is appreciated!
Thank you

While the root of the problem is likely the picture tubes aging, I'm sure it would benefit from a cleaning and adjusting. After the dust is cleaned from the lenses, the screen controls could likely be lowered to get the blacks you desire. An experienced tech would be able to do this for you.

Depending how long you have owned it and if a Lamp was ever replaced, it probably needs to be replaced. You can check with SONY at
1800-222-SONY and see if they could sell and send you one.
Hope this helps,

Thats caused by a convergence failure. The Sony type 1 convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually correct that issue the kit contains the components and the CD with repair instructions so you can repair yourself.
