I wanted to know if plastic dog bowls are healthy or should I go out and buy a metal one?
Plastic dog bowls are quite cheap however I wouldn't recommend using them. Plastic absorbs toxins and this could cause health problems for your dog. Also dogs are natural chewers and they will more than likely chew a plastic bowl when left to their own devises. I would invest a bit more money on a metal dish, they are clean, long lasting, indestructible and safe.
You should pick the elevated dog bowl for cleaner feeding area. You clean the surface of the feeder table rather than the floor. In addition, the elevated dog bowl can minimize the behavior of dogs that like to splash in their water bowls.
Actually there is.
You will be happy to know that there are several brands of spill proof
water bowls for dogs. I will send you a
few links so that you can check them out.

You should look into the Road Refresher Dog Bowl from Jolly

is amazing. There hasn't been one spill
yet! Here's a site where you can get
