Save-Smart®
Press () to activate the Save-Smart®Function.
1.Set the thermostat to desired temperature using the +/-
buttons (Note: The default Save-Smart®temperature is 72 ? F)
2.When you reach the temperature at which you want to
set the unit, the set temperature will flash several times
and then the display will return to indicate the current
room temperature and will gradually change as the
room temperature changes.
3.When the air temperature is less than the set temperature,
the heater will run in HIGH heat.
4.Once the thermostat reaches the set temperature the heater
will automatically switch to LOW heat to save energy.
5.When the air temperature reaches 4? above the set temperature,
the heater will turn off. The Heater will cycle off and on in the LOW
mode to maintain the set temperature.
All this happens automatically with Lasko Save-Smart®Technology.
To deactivate the Save-Smart®function, press Save-Smart®
again or (hi/lo) for continuous high/low heat.
AUTOMATIC TEMPERATURE CONTROL(Figure 3)
The automatic temperature function will only operate on "High" heat.
You cannot set the temperature automatically when the unit is in the low heat mode.
1.To set the room at a specific temperature press the () or()buttons
to the desired temperature. The display will now reflect the () and the temperature will be flashing. The Heater is now in Auto Temperature Mode.
2.When you reach the temperature at which you want to set the unit, the set temperature will flash several times and then the display will return to indicate the current room temperature and will gradually change as the room temperature changes. NOTE: the temperature display does not indicate the temperature of the heated air being emitted by the heater.
3.Once the room temperature reaches 2 degrees above the set temperature, the Heater will shut off. Once the room temperature reaches 1 degree below the set temperature, the Heater will turn back on and continue to cycle off and on to maintain the set temperature.
4.This function will cancel if the ()button is pressed. The Heater will now be in High heat and run continuously.
NOTE:It is normal for the Heater "fan" to run for approximately 15 seconds when the Heater shuts off after reaching the set temperature.Press the () and() buttons at the same time to change the display to ° Celsius. Press the same two buttons together again to change the display
back to ° Fahrenheit.
It always helps to add the model number of the item you want help on. However if it's like the newer units, the fan operates whenever the heater wall has reached a high enough temperature and shuts off when the heater cools off. It is not wired into your thermostat or electrically wired to the heater. It does that with a temperature driven fan switch in a little junction box mounted to the heater. Normally when that box gets hot because the heater is on the fan comes on, when it cools off the fan goes off. The junction box will have an ac cord coming out of it. If this fan switch junction box is not properly mounted it could be getting cooled off when the fan starts and then shuts itself off. After it heats up again it starts the fan. The other possibility is the temperature based fan switch is failing and needs replacement. See link.
THERMOSTAT CONTROL OPERATION
FOR IR20LPT / IR30LPT: The thermostatic control used
simply turns on and off the burner.
FOR BF20LPT / BF30LPT: The thermostatic control
used modulates the flame size as the temperature gets
closer to set point, then it turns off the burner upon
reaching temperature.
The burner will cycle back on when room temperature
drops below the set temperature. The control knob can
be set to any heat level between 1 and 5. Selecting the
HI setting will cause the burner to remain on.
Note: The thermostat sensing bulb measures the
temperature of air near the heater cabinet. This
may not always agree with room temperature
(depending on housing construction, insulation
location, room size, open air temperature, etc.).
Frequent use of your heater will let you determine
your own comfort levels.
The LED temperature indicator measures approximate
room temperature around the heater.
Note: The LED temperature indicator DOES NOToperate with or control the thermostat setting of the
heater.
IF YOUR UNIT IS NOT TURNING OFF IN POSITION 1 BUT THE TEMPERATURE AROUND IT IS HIGH THAN THERMOSTAT IS STUCK AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGE IT OR VISIT SERVICE.
1-5 knob has no info what is the parameters of temperature sorry!
There are 3 settings for optimum air filtration. You can operate your Holmes air purifier continuously on the Medium (2) setting. It's rugged motor has been designed to give many years of use. For quieter operation (such as bedroom), select the Low (1) setting. When high levels of air polution are present, select the HIGH (3) setting to quickly circulate and filter the room air.

The heater is thermostatically controlled, so once the room temperatures reaches the heater's preset temperature, the heater cycles off. This is normal.
However, If the heater goes off BEFORE the room reaches the preset temperature, suspect a high temperature safety switch that may be tripping. Does the heater come back on after it cools down?
Many recommend you plug the heater in and turn it on in a well-ventilated room (like a garage) for the few hours of use. If you are using the heater to warm a room, plug it in with the thermostat set to maximum and set the power selector to 3 until the room reaches the desired temperature. Then rotate the thermostat clockwise until you hear a click. You can set the power level to 1 or 2 to conserve energy while maintaining the current temperature settings.
If you are trying to avoid frozen pipes in an area, plug in the heater and set the power selector to 3 and thermostat to *.
Always remember to keep anything flammable away from the heater (loose drapes etc.) There is an overheating protection circuit built into the unit. To reset it, you need to call the DeLonghi service center.
The thermostat will not cut off the A/C until the thermometer reading gets to 76.
If there is not a heat source near/behind the thermostat which is causing the thermometer to read higher than actual room temperature, it sounds like the thermostat thermometer is out of calibration.
There are ways to calibrate it, but much to involved to go into here.
One solution is to just set the thermostat at 80, knowing that it's really set on 76.
After calling Vornado Corporation, they suggested that the room temperature monitor might be failing as it read 65 degrees no matter where you started the heater. I took the unit back to the store I purchased it from, and we unpacked another unit and found the same problem existed. Therefore, the product is not capable of heating a room properly and I will continue my search for a space heater to control the temperature in my upstairs office which does not have air ducts for heat.
If anyone has recommendations I would be interested in their comments.
Thank you.
whats the room temperature ?the room temperature may effect the systems temperature, again the processor usage,or the particular heat sink attached to the processor if it dosnt dissipate much heat and instead circulate within can cause high temp so check that out
I had the same problem new out of box but now the on/off switch there is no response
NO. I am living with the machine as is. I leave it on 74-78, and it brings the room to 64! must have rejected thermostats installed. Nice going, Holmes. jk
