Razr 3vxx I want to disable the 3g function

It depends on the country you are in.... some providers are widely supported in one country, whereas in another country that might not be the same case...

.... what network signals are supported in your area?... Your phone is a gsm or quadband phone.. you probably don't have gsm service in your area, but rather CDMA.... which does not work on your particular phone. you must buy a cdma phone... (some phones are multiple-network compatible). Just shop around.

Also 3g networks in europe don't normally work on USA 3g enabled phones.... and vice-versa.

I have just purchased an unlocked v3i razr. Mute will not unmute. Ideas?????? Speaker works fine.

Right whats happened is either the wrong code has been put in so many times.

To disable 3G,
dial 5476278#*# on the dialpad as a phone number. Scroll to "Modem Setting” >"Band Setting" > "GSM Only" > "OK". Okey! It’s Done. LG Phone Problem and solution
To restore 3G, follow the same steps, and select "Automatic". This setting will remain in effect until you change it. Cycling the power does not reset this.

just do a master reset of the phone.

you probably have it locked inside of EDGE or 3G area but anyway you should not be able to send emails through out a 3g area or EDGE check your phone settings.

yea if you have verizon atleast dial *228 and press option two when the prompt comes up it will allow you to use the newest tower in your area and shoudl boost your recpetion

has this phone been dropped? check your local service center if you have a physical damage on the phone.
