I have a 6 CD shelf audio system from Sanyo. The Model number is Sanyo DC-D12U. When I try to open the CD player, I cannot insert any disc because the mechanism does not open, and simply reads CH Err. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What does it do if you put 3 discs in and select each one? You don't say what it does with the other two trays. It would help to know that they work. If not, you have a bigger issue. Let me know.

if the display on the CD, reads, no disc, then try to clean the CD lensthe best way is with a cotton bud and white spirit or something similar also buy a cheap CD lens clearer kit, in the cheap shops for about a quid, keep putting it into the CD player, it will clean as it goes,

If using computer generated dics , disc usally bad burn progam , bad disk, burn speed to fast. Check out NERO burn. OR dirty eye, clean, laser eye with disc clean disc
