I need driver remote control for hp pavillon dv6000 for win 7

The brightness keys on laptops are interpreted by either the laptop hardware, or more likely, the operating system.
I would recommend going to HP's support site, http://support.hp.com, and downloading the latest chipset drivers from the site.
If you are running Windows 7 than try the Vista drivers if Win 7 is not listed as an operating system.

Go into the Control Panel and look for Clock,Language and Regional settings. You should be able to do it from there. I assume that the version of Windows is either Vista or Win7.

You can try running windows update via the control panel in windows, or looking up the dv6000 on HP's site and look for product downloads. It should have a listing of all the available downloads for that particular laptop model.

My HP Pavillon dv6000 touchpad keeps disabling itself, randomly. I have to keep enabling it, any solutions?

First take out the battery, and run it on AC power alone , if it runs ok its the battery that has died, it you still can run the laptop with orw/o a bttery then the internal power supply has died.

For the hard drive (a clicking sound means a spindle problem). Suggest you get a new drive if it's no longer under warranty. Once you install a new drive you can slave your old bad drive into the system & pull your data off it before it stops working.

As for the laptop it's better off with a pro.
