Try looking in the program list for the program that starts the wireless. Click Start/Programs and look for the program that drives the wireless and open it.

Maybe you don't have your wireless turned on. Look on both sides and in front for the Wireless Switch and turn it on.

Also once the wireless switch is turned on there are keystrokes that can toggle the wireless on or off. Normally you would Press and Hold the FN function key located at the lower left of the keyboard, then hit the correct F1 thru F12 key that toggles the wireless. The correct F1 thru F12 key to hit will have the wireless signal icon )))) on it. Or it might have the icon of a tower with the wireless signal icon )))). Normally the screen will display Wireless On or Wireless Off when you toggle the wireless.

Refresh is not on tool bar
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
  • Firefox menu button > Options
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to display the menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
  • check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar

Cooling fan is too slow.
  1. right click the battery icon on the bottom right toolbar
  2. select "power options"
  3. select "high performance" (if not visible use drop down to show additional power plans)
  4. click "change plan settings"
  5. click "change advanced power settings"

I have an emachine newer one cant seem to turn on wireless switch so i can connect to wifi

Look for a wireless icon similar to the attached picture on the keyboard, it locates usually among F1 to F12 keys, if you don't see anything similar from F1 to F12, then try looking from 1 to 9 keys. Once it's located, press and hold down the Fn key on the keyboard and press the key with the icon (i.e. wireless icon) simultaneously for a couple of seconds, this will turn on and off the wireless function of your system. How do i enable wireless in my emachine desktop computer?
You didn't provide the Model of the eMachine or the OS. So a general procedure , if you have a Wireless Adapter, Look in the Tray Notification Area for the Network icon, right click, open Network and Sharing Center, open Change adapter settings, Is there a wireless adapter listed? Is it enabled? Do you have "Fn" keys the turn the wireless on and off? In your user/setup manual it should have all the info. Post the Model of the machine and we can be more presise.

Remove the drop down icon bar on sony vaio
Usually, with a dropdown toolbar, you can put the cursor all the way to the top of the screen and with the toolbar visible, right click on it to activate a control menu from which you can stop it from dropping down, unlock it and move it to either sidr, or even turn it off altogether.

If this doesn't work, try entering yout laptop model name in Google search followed by "disable dropdown toolbar" for blogs and forums for your laptop model that may have a specific command or trick for your machine.

Where is the toolbar? Why did it disappear? How can I get it bck complete with printer???
Are you asking about your browser toolbar? In Internet Explorer, if the menu bar isn't visible click <Alt>. Go to View > Toolbars. Make sure the items you want have check marks. The printer icon is part of the Command Bar. Once done, check the line Lock the Toolbars. This will eliminate the vertical dotted line next to each Toolbar. When you click on that line, the toolbar disappears.

If you are dealing with another application, you need to do something similar. However, the names and location in the menus may be different.

If you are using EME725-4520, then this do not have web cam. or else follow the instructions below:

1. On the taskbar double-click the Camera Assistant Software icon , or from the Windows® Start menu, point to All Programs, Camera Assistant Software, and then click Camera Assistant Software. The Camera Assistant Toolbar location briefly displays on the desktop.

On the top menu

tools | customize...

on the toolbars tab scroll down and check the 'reviewing' checkbox. That should keep the toolbar open all of the time.

Speeding up internet
Here are a few suggestions on how to speed connection:

- Move router or pc location if possible. Closer = better connection usually

- Try changing the channel your router is broadcasting on. Sometimes there are slower channels and faster channels in heavy traffic area

- If you have any toolbars in your browser (i.e., yahoo or google), remove them. Those toolbars use up resources that can slow you down.

- Delete cookies and internet files

If these don't work, post a comment on here with your operating systems on laptop and desktop and router type.
