Fagor 3CFT-90V Fan Intensive speed button- slows the fan down!

I have a Fagor 3CFT-90V Hood. All the functions and buttons on the hood work correctly, except the Intensive Speed Button. When Intensive Speed is activated (with the fan in any speed setting, 1,2 or 3), it actually slows the fan down to a vey slow pace, rather than speed it up to Intensive Speed. The 5 minute timer for the Intensive speed function works correctly and turns off after 5 minutes, so the buttons and swiching logic seems OK.
The fan motor also seems to function correctly, except when intensive speed is selected. Any ideas on how to locate this problem and fix it?

I got a Kenmore microwave hood combination model number 721.80032 is it a hood fan to and how do i just turn on the hood fan

The model number 721.80032 is a partial model number; it indicates the build series. I found the Kenmore microwave, 721.80032700. The final 3 digits indicate the panel color and similar details.

Assuming the microwave was installed properly, it should work as a hood fan. Press the touch pad with the fan icon (underneath it says Hi/Low/Off) to get the desired fan speed. The icon is on the lower left of the control panel; it's below the Cook Time button and to the left of the Light button.

The manual for the 721.80032700 is available here: https://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/user-manuals/72180032700-kenmore-parts-manual?manualIndex=0 . The direct link to the Owner's Manual is https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/pd_download/lis_pdf/OWNM/L0710653.pdf . See pages 9 and 14 for using the exhaust fan.

I hope this helps.

Medium Fan Speed not working

Switch is probably faulty, or wire / connection to switch. If switch and wiring test ok trace wire from that button back to wherever it goes and look there for fault.

Faber range hood fan stuck

Can you start the fan while holding the motor? If it runs fine while not in the hood, then likely the fan is rubbing against something that is not letting it get up to speed. If the motor does not run when removed from the hood, then there's something wrong electrically - a start capacitor, bad motor, etc. Try to verify the fan is not rubbing on something first.

KWCU405SSS fan motor high speed only

Agreed! It totally works. Our fan and lights were stuck on high. Flipped the hood circuit breaker off for 30 seconds then back on again and all controls are working normally again. Thanks!

#23350303200 Kenmore Elite Range hood - Range hood exhaust motor slows down

You have 2 windings in the motor that create a magnetic field. A winding is simply a coil of wire an they do not touch. when applying the voltage (turning on the fan) the windings create the mag. field causing the rotor to turn, which then of course turns the fan blade. When these windings get weak it causes them to heat up due to the resistance in the circuit and you there for loose ur mag. field... Or if the rotor starts getting restricted it will also heat up the windings an cause the fan to stop.. Time for a new venta hood....

What controls the speed of a range hood fan? , only when i push the hi button or the low speed button, the hi speed button only works. its a old model built in 1960 , can't find the model number ...

You will need to check inside the button contacts to identify if the control of current is by a series resistor or by the coil winding.
Since the high speed is working it is possible that the series resistor coil is open.So check for loss of contact continuity in the switch, if not you can use the present model of electronic fan controllers to give you a variable fan control. This can be connected to the main hi speed connection.
Tip: Identify the wattage and buy the regulator according to the specs.(42 inch type)

Speed control on fan

It means that the filters on the hood need to be cleaned. You simply pop them out and can wash them in the dishwasher. Once clean, dry and replaced, you hold down the fan speed button (the second button from the left or " - " minus for more than five seconds.) When you first hit the button the A will appear, hold the button when the letter disappears, the timer has been reset until time for the next cleaning. The microprocessor in the system will flash every 30 hours of operation.

Broan Allure QS3

Hello,

The Problem is the wiring. Take the 2 screws retaining the metal plaque off underneath the filters. You will see the wires leaving the motor going into a "molex" plastic connector which connects two another set of wires going to the control board. Check to see if the wiring colors match from side to side of plastic connector. Ive only seen it happen once but it was exactly that. I do service calls for broan & Nutone
