SOURCE: Input - EXT-IN button was pushed on remote.

I believe you are going to have to choose another input to get off of ext in. This is just another input on your receiver.

Hope that helps

SOURCE: Denon AVR-2105

If the Cd is wired digitally, it will only play through the main zone, because the Denon cannot convert down to RCA to cater for the zone 2. If you plug RCAs from Cd to Denon, Main zone will STILL play from digital, and RCA connection will allow zone 2 to play Cd from RCA input....same with dvd, Satellite Blah blah... no stress, any nasty RCA will do if you want to try before you splash out on really costly cables...perhaps you can help me...want to run AVR 2105 with 2 speakers in zone 2, manual says cant do it - only ably to surround back or biamp...dont want either, dont have stereo yet to try it out...did you have any trouble with that?

SOURCE: Denon AVR-3805 zone 2 no longer working

If no sound coming through Zone 2, steps that worked are below. Layout: Denon AVR-988 running in 5.1 mode with patio speakers designated as Zone 2: 1) check that patio speaker wires are connected to Denon's back surround speaker terminals, 2) check "Menu then "Manual Setup" and scroll to check that "Amp Assign function is set to "Zone 2". You won't get Zone 2 sound unless this is chosen in this instance. Also check the volume settings in the "Manual Setup" to ensure you haven't turned sound down by -40 DB or limited it. Now try turing on Zone 2 sound either on front panel or on rear of remote. If you still have no sound, what worked for me is there's a Zone 2/Rec Out pushbutton on front left top panel by round input knob. This must be set to "Zone 2 Source" and not "Rec Out Source".to avoid diverting the signal to the Rec Out jacks. Keep turning the input select button until it reads "Zone 2 Source". Then turn on and this should route the signal to your Zone 2 speakers. srhfish

How to connect a denon avr-e400 receiver to a televion

If the DENON has an HDMI output, and your TV has an HDMI input, then use a HDMI cable. Then, use the TV's remote-control to select "source" (or "input") as 'HDMI 2' or 'HDMI 3' (assuming that you have been using 'HDMI 1' to watch TV).

B&k avr 7 with SACD inputs needs independent tone equalization settings

For your stereo configuration, refer to the preamp they are connected to for tone controls.
For your center and surround channels, refer to the B&K setup menus for those controls.

Recently had the amp repaired. Set up used to play sacd fine but since repair the sub offer does not play on sacd. Plays on everything else fine. Can only assume a setting has been changed in the avr200...

It's in the manual.

The ".1" in 5.1 is for the subwoofer. Recheck the analog cable for that channel as it comes from the unidentified SACD player. If you had mentioned the make and model of it that would have been helpful.

I have a Marantz 7.1 AV receiver (sr5500) and I run a 5.1 set up for home theatre and use the 2 extra channels to run a pair of outdoor stereo speakers... I discovered that it can only output an analog signal...so I have used the phono outputs on my blu-ray player into the CD input of the AV amp and play CDs outside through this and it also outputs the optical digital signal into the AV amp through the DVD input...my iPod also plays through a dock and it's analog output to the speakers outside through another (CD-R) anolog input on the amp... What is the best way to attach a Sony SCD CE595 CD player SACD to a Denon AVR 2105 Receiver. I thought the optical input would be best but according to a web posting, toslink does not support SACD

That is correct. Digital connections through some models of SACD players are via "firewire", otherwise it is analog output. There are no optical connections.

The shortest pair of RCA cables, or even component video cable as an alternative will work.

Denon AVR-4802 multi-zone problem.

I had the same questions and still can't believe there isn't more information on the topic. It's crazy how much marketing Denon devotes to their Multi-Zone features yet offers very little reference materials on the actual set up. I guess most customers don't use the fearture? Here you go:

-The Multi-Zone on the Denon 4802 is analog only. If you are running digital coax or fiber you will have to run a second line that's analog (eg RCA red/white) from the source to the Denon in order for the signal to to make it to the Zone 2 speakers (regardless if it's Pre-Amp out or direct connect to the Zone 2 speakers from the multi/SB speaker outs. Regarding the Harmony question, I had the same problem with my Harmony 880 and wasn't able to find an answer after multiple searches. Luckily I figured it out when I deleted the receiver from the Logitec device list and started over. Connect the remote to your computer, launch the Logitec Harmony Remote Software, click the Devices tab, hit the Add Device, pick the device type & manufacturer from the drop down list, enter "AVR-4802" under Model and finally hit the Next button in the lower right corner of the UI. The next page solves the Harmony Zone 2 control problem. You will see a message "To use your device in additional zones/rooms, click the checkbox...." Make sure Room 2 is checked (mine was not), update the remote and you're done. The Harmony Device menu you will now contain a second receiver icon called "receiver 2." Hit "device" on the Harmony, choose "receiver 2" and you will gain control over Zone 2 including volume.

Good luck!
