Pulp galore! This is the first time I'm using it and my apple juice came out like apple sauce! Is this how this thing works? I've heard it's a great juicer, but it's not marking high in my book right now. Please, can anyone offer some helpful info as to why? Thank you!

Juice content of the fruit you are using. Try with Granny Smith apples and make sure they are this season and not last years. Also try the juicer with oranges to prove it is the apples and not the juicer. Also try peeling the apples as a test. The skin can block the strainer. Another trick, run the discarded pulp again.

Couple of things to look at
1 check the grating blade. Maybe clogged therefore need cleaning or need replacing due to bluntness
2 motor may be slipping true to overload. Place fruit in a little at a time

There is no solution. These juicers do not eject the pulp and go out of balance very easily.
Don't feel bad, I've seen you tube videos where the demonstrator couldn't keep it under
control. If you are unable to master it, consider a pulp ejecting or masticating type juicer.

You need a new slicer with a finer mesh.

Unfortunately, since these juicers do not eject the pulp, they will tend to go out
of balance. Juice nothing softer than apples and try to feed it as evenly and as
slowly as possible.

MY WIFE HAS ONE AND IT'S LIKE A LOOSE CANNON. IF IT IS LEAKING FEED IT
VERY SLOWLY.

FIRST DUMP THE FILTERS, THEY DECREASE YIELD AND MAY CAUSE MORE VIBRATION.
IF JUICER SHUTS DOWN PUSH RESET BUTTON ON BOTTOM. THIS TYPE OF JUICER DOES
NOT EJECT PULP AND REQUIRES SOME TIME TO MASTER. FEED THE STUFF SLOW AND
STEADY. WANT A GOOD JUICE? TRY 1 APPLE, 2 CARROTS, 2 CELERY AND A HALF LEMON.
IF YOU ARE REALLY BRAVE YOU CAN FINISH OFF BY SLOWLY POURING 6 OR 8 OUNCERS
OF WATER RIGHT DOWN THE CHUTE. THIS NOT ONLY DILUTES BUT LEECHES MORE JUICE
OUT OF THE PULP. JUICE SHOULD BE DILUTED AND DRANK SLOWLY.

use a quatered apple in between carrort.

Feed it slower. Mix up the items, it likes things mixed up. You can add water near the end to clean it out.

There are two almost identical cone-shaped parts, one with metal screening and one solid dark plastic (I'm going by the parts color appearance of my 8003 model). Be sure you're using the one with the screen, otherwise the juice has nowhere to go but out with the pulp.
