SOURCE: I have a Sony MHC

I think grooves are dirty / clogged in sled section of lens mechanism. There is flexible wire between lens and circuit board and this should also be checked as it can be cracked or misaligned.
Below is exploded view of lens in MHC-GX470 and marked area to be checked or cleaned.

SOURCE: I have a Sony MHC-GX470 stereo...it will not play

the mechanism is bad or in human terms the motor that excepts and moves the disc has gone out i reccomend taking it to a repair shop to get a estimate because it may jus be cheaper to replace it.

SOURCE: sony mhc-rg330

Get a lens Cleaning Disk and put it into the CD Player, there could be foreign objects on the lens itself, these and other shelf systems all have one common problem... Dust.

SOURCE: sony 3 disc changer mhc-gx880 has broken belt. How

You have to open the unit with screws in the back and push it out by hand, there should be a series of gears that you have to spin for the tray to come out. You may be able to gently push it by hand to come out.

SOURCE: how to reset my sony

Your stereo went into protect mode to prevent complete failure of the amplifier inside that radio. Most of the time this happens from playing the stereo real loud for a real long time and it overheats. Most of the time disconnecting the receiver/stereo and letting it cool all the way down or at least 5 minutes and then reconnecting it to the power source will reset the protection mode. You want to make sure you are keeping the radio cool. Don't stack anything on top of it and try keeping a small fan blowing on it to expedite the heat out from the unit. Also turning it down every now and then to let everything cool down a bit will help prevent it from going into protection mode as well.

I have a sony HCD-gx470 stereo an it will not go to the next song by itself how can i fix this

hi, if you are reffering to the cd player section, then check the program or repeat feature. make sure that none of these features are enabled. if this does not help then activate the "master reset" procedure in your user manual. lastly check beneath your unit for any transport locks/screws applied to the cd mechanism. cheers.

My CDs wont play. I click CD & i want to listen to my CDS in CD1 CD2 & CD3 but they wont play. They say "No Disc".

You could either try getting a linse cleaner for your Sterio. Or take it apart and Clean it, There might be alot of dust and dirt inside so it makes it hard for the laser to read the disks.
