SOURCE: car stops running suddenly
this could be a fuel pump problem ? had the same thing happen to me ,
SOURCE: stop instantly
I recently had the same problem on a 2000 Grand Cherokee I was about to buy - I suspected a possible charging system problem, so the owner rebuilt the alternator for me and it has worked fine so far (going on 3 weeks now with no repeats of the problem)
SOURCE: Transmission shudder
I had a similar problem on my 93 Accord after I accidentally threw the car in reverse at 50 mph, obviously wrecking the transmission. When I got it rebuilt I was told the transmission pump was to blame (clogged with "shrapnel"). I, and your car manual, recommend taking the car in to get the tranny looked at. Especially considering you just had the fluid changed which is what would normally cause the problems you are describing.
SOURCE: won't start after driving short distance
I would check any recalls. I had a 2000 Nissan Sentra and the crankshaft position sensor was the problem. It may be a warranty replacement item.
