SOURCE: i have no spark..thinking coil?

Make sure you do the compression with the throttle wide open. (And a clean air filter) You need at least 100 psi to run good. (Kick it untill the gauge needle stops climbing)

SOURCE: no problem here, just a question. i have a 2002 TM

A dry & tan colour is what you want to see of your plug colour. If it is comming out black yet dry your fuel/oil ratio is too rich. If you lean this ratio off regulary check the plug (initially) to be sure you don't seize it. The other symptom to look for if your fuel/oil ratio is too rich is wet/oily muffler tip.
Hope this helps Regards

SOURCE: right i own an 03 tm 125 and i took it out got to

Sounds like you had the engine flooded or the spark plug was fouled. When you changed the spark plug, you apparently forgot to tighten it properly. You may have damaged the threads in the head. I doubt you blew up the engine but you need to have the treads in the head repaired if they are damaged. Any good machine shop can install an insert into the head to repair it.

I'd venture to say your linkage is out of adjustment - don't mess with the bands if the transmission worked before. Move the shift lever all the way to the lowest gear detent (farthest away from Park), then tighten the linkage cable adjustment until the shifter on the transmission is right at its stop on the transmission. The shift indicator needle should be centered on the letter. (If the transmission is now working properly and the needle is still off, you can adjust the needle inside the shifter housing by sliding its clip on the bracket attached to the shift lever. I didn't say it would be easy to get at it...)

When i acelerate my bike feels like its not all the way in gear and over revs. My shifter is sloppy also not real sure where to start to correct this problem.

Hi, You may have a partly broken shifter. You have to take apart the shifter inside and see what is wrong. If you don't have any mechanic ability you should not do this yourself. Take it to a mechanic. Good luck.

I don't understand how to shift my 12-speed Adventurer bicycle and am looking for online manual or some help. The right-hand shifter has numbers 1-6, but I don't seem to know how to match it up...

It sounds like you have 2 sprockets on the Front (Crank) sprocket-
and likely 6 sprockets on the rear?

So-- when you have the chain in the smaller diameter sprocket on the front, and you have the chain on the biggest sprocket in the rear-- you have the most mechanical advantage-- and you can climb hills the best-

If you started in this gear, (sand you are pedaling on the level road) you could gradually work you way up thru those 6 sprockets-- until you are cruising-

Then -- for all practical purposes, you can shift the Front sprocket to the larger sprocket, and now you have at the fastest ratio possible. (In other words you pedal slower, for a faster rotation of the rear wheel-- make sense?)

There is no need to switch back and forth 12 times, as you go gradually faster-- (It is not like driving a big truck! :-)

Does this help?-- if not, let me know what I missed in your question?

When changing gear it returns to sixth gear , (twist grip gears) 6 gear 20in boys bike

If you're saying the shifter itself isn't staying in the selected position and is always relaxing ALL cable tension, you have a defective shifter. Some, like the Grip Shift MRX, seem to rely on the handlebar grip to keep all the guts inside. I know of one where a space developed when the grip slipped outboard a little bit and the shifter parts separated enough for a key piece to fall out.

No one sells the nickel part so you'll probably end up replacing the whole shifter. You may even have to buy a complete set. If you have to go that far and it IS a defective design I'd get a Shimano shifter that works with 6-speeds. Like Revo. Look on eBay.

OR, maybe the cable is just really loose.

This resource is very useful...

125cc pitbike jammed in 4th gear

It Could be a few things, maybe there is damage to the shift fork on the clutch which is causing the gear to stay locked into place, also it could be the bearing on the gear shifter shaft
