When the tv is turned on, the tv comes up with blue screen only. I checked the cable wires and that is not the problem. How do I get the tv to work with a blue screen? The tv does nothing but the
blue screen.
What happened was, my kids were playing playstation and all of a sudden the tv just went blue.
now, it won't do anything but the blue screen.
I have two remotes for the tv. One is the satilite remote & the other came with the tv. Neither remotes have an AV or EXT button on them. I can't get either remote to work. I know there is no problem with the remotes because I hooked up another tv & it worked fine. Any ideas ?I have two remotes for the tv. One is the satilite remote & the other came with the tv. sorry I should have mentioned if you have an AV or EXT button on your controls, keep pressing it until you get back to your tv. If you have cable or a freeview box connected to your tv make sure that this is on when you press the AV or EXT buttons.sorry I should have mentioned if you have an AV or EXT button on your controls, keep pressing it until you get back to your tv. the only other thing that I can suggest is unpluging everything that goes into you tv and turn them off by the mains. Leave it for a minute then plug your connecitons back into the tv then turn the mains back on. Sometimes I get this screen if my freeview box freezes and i need to reset it by pressing the button on the back.
Your control may have a button that says 'sat' i'm not sure.

Sounds as if a cable connection is bad. Check the cables first. If cable are good, change inputs, if cables are bad replace cables. If it's component, make sure that red, blue or green didn't come loose on both sides...the tv and the source. If you still have problems, check for red video noise on the screen itself, preferably when it's on but with on input (black) If you notice this, your plasma is failing.
How is the player connected to the TV? It could be S-Video, HDMI, RCA, or Component Video cables. My guess is that you're using component video cables. There will be three wires that carry the video signal to the TV, and each wire carries one color. There will be a blue, yellow, and green cables. If one of these cables is not seated properly, it can cause only one or two of the three color signals to make it to the TV, causing the image to be discolored. You should check the connections of the cables. You'll also see the sound cables, probably red and white. Do not get the red video and the red sound cable mixed up!
Hello sir, hi, please check the video cable. If you are using the three color audio/video cable, the yellow one goes to the yellow input of the TV to the yellow output of the DVD recorder. Then check the TVs audio video settings, the TV should be in the video channel, if there are several video channel, check where the video is coming in. Make sure that the yellow cable is good. you can swap several cables to check.
If your TV is component input, put the red green and blue wires to their respective color port, one end is on the DVD recorder, and the other on the TV. make sure your cables are good.
Do the same thing with the S-video and HDMI cable. if your TV has this.
Blue screen on most TVs indicates that it is not able to see a signal on the input that is chosen. Most TVs have multiple inputs now, and some of the connectors share the same colors as well. I am betting that your karaoke box uses a 3 wire cable that comes out, 1 red, 1 white, 1 yellow that should go to the composite input on the TV. Here is the problem with that kind of cable. Very easily damaged. If you are sure that the input is set correctly on the TV, try replacing the cable.
Vertical color scan has an open or short..............it could also be a ground problem with in the V-color scan circuits...
If you tap the tv and the color bar is gone then its a ground problem with in those circuits above. Needs a solder re-flow and check the condition of ribbon cables.
Good day sir, your inquiry about the green lcd screen can be caused by several things. 1. The monitor/tv produces 3 colors, red green and blue, the tv mixes these three colors to produce the picture. a loss of red and blue produces this green screen. so check the cable, specially the red and blue jack of the component inputs, and the red and blue cable. 2. there may be loose contact on the signal cable. try using the video input instead of the component input. 3. the dvd player may have the problem, check the player component out jack. a loose jack port can cause these problem. hope this may help. thanks
Hi, how is the cable box hooked up to the TV? Is it HDMI cable or componet (red/green/blue) ? When you say totally green, do you mean the the picture is only green with the other colors missing or every color looks green ?
you may be lucky and its a lose wires on the tcon board if not then the tcon board is on its way out, this is on the back of the screen and is feed by the av board. this controls the signal into the screens output.
Good Day, rbls;
This is a generic description of a common concern of this type. 90% of the time if the pic turns a color then turns off it is the picture tube.
If the picture is lost and the pic/screen turns blue it is normally a lost of signal from the TV's source (cable box, vcr,dvd & etc), check all cables, try different inputs & etc.
Good Luck, big IRISH. For more detail e me at [email protected]
