All phones on system affected...tried unplugging and plugging one at a time, rebooted system....nothing seems to help...incoming calls and calls between phone extensions works fine just can not make outgoing calls any advise?

If the phones are only 6-8 months old you should be calling 3Com. those phones have a 1 year warranty and once you register them they will help you troubleshoot and replace them if needed. Can you provide more detail? Do you have any network issues while this is happening? Does speakerphone work but the handset doesn't?

Add the NBX's IP and mac address to phone. Also static it on the same subnet.
It will go through about three long reboots.
If it doesn't work change the NBX to anything but "ethernet only" and reboot it. Then reboot phone with the above settings.
