Talked with a tech recently. Did everything we were told to do to get the camera to take pictures. It worked one time and then it would no longer work. Also, the camera will rotare form auto, manual, program back to auto again. It is frustrating to have a camera that will not take a picture. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!

SOURCE: Using flash freezes up camera
When taking pictures, you must really be allowing time for the camera's flash to be charged
before you could take another picture so that camera will have enough time to rest and it
could function normally.
But if the camera was dropped, then it's really causing those kinds of issues like flash will not work properly.
You could still try these steps below:
First, do the POWER RESET:
- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera
Second, do the MASTER RESET
- Be in AUTO mode
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP 2
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds so that settings will be refreshed
Turn it on and take a picture.
When you want to have just the AUTO FLASH.
- Rotate the mode dial to PROGRAM
- Press the LEFT/FLASH button until you've seen the
LIGHTNING icon with the Letter A on the leftmost part of the screen
- Try to take a picture by pressing and holding the shutter button
halfway first for 3-5 seconds and then press it all the way down
If it still does not work, you need to contact the Manufacturer.

When the camera is OUT OF FOCUS, these are the steps that you could try:
1 Power Reset
- Turn off camera
- Remove batteries for a minute
- Reload batteries
- Turn on camera
2 Distance
- When the distance between the camera and the subject is too close,
the strength of the light can cause the picture to overexposed and
be blurred. On the contrary, if the distance is too far,
the beam is too weak to shed enough light on the subject.
Allow yourself enough space between you and your subject.
3 Shutter
- If you press the shutter before the flash is fully charged,
the flash will not be able to emit enough light and therefore
the image can be blurred.
4 Surrounding Light
- Use the fill-in flash mode to create a balanced shot when
the surrounding light is very bright.
5 Backlight
- Use the backlight control feature when the background
is brighter than the subject.
6 Cleaning
- Clean the lenses with a smooth piece of cloth.
7 ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction)
- Put in ASR mode to prevent any blur
8 Master Reset
- Press on MENU button
- Press on the right button until you see SETUP
- Scroll down until you see RESET
- Press the right button to pick up on YES or NO
- Press on OK/MENU button for changes to be saved
- Turn off camera for a few seconds for changes to be saved
* If it still does not work, you need to send the camera for repair.
Just contact the Manufacturer so they could tell you how to send camera safely.
