check the green light near LAN cable connector is glowing. if not replace the cable. if glowing go to the properties of printer & check if IP address is correct? many printers have unique IP address which u will find in manual of printer. try reinstalling printers installation software from CD.

I cannot get my keyboard or my mouse to work with my dell computer. what can i do?

Please add more information to get specific assistance. Are these wireless devices? If wired, do they use USB or PS/2 connections.

For wireless devices, try replacing the batteries and resynching to the receiver. (You may want to check putting the receiver in different USB ports.)

For wired devices, disconnect and reconnect. For PS/2 devices, you will need to restart the computer to check if the devices work. For USB devices, try connecting to different USB ports.

Next step, try using a different keyboard and mouse (that work on another computer (stick to USB or PS/2 to match the current pair)). Try a wired set if the problem is with a wireless pair. If those work, continue diagnostics on the wireless keyboard and mouse. Check if the mouse and keyboard work on another computer. If they don't work with another computer, replace them.

If another USB keyboard and mouse pair don't work in any port, your USB ports may have failed. Check if even one port works enough to access the Device Manager. (Start > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Device Manager (Win7); similar directions in other versions of Windows) Check for a problem with the drivers (For USB ports, scroll down to the USB drivers and look for a triangle with a yellow exclamation point or red x). Try to update the driver or roll it back. If that doesn't help and one USB port works, a USB hub may solve the problem.

Otherwise if the USB or PS/2 ports do not work with any devices and the driver fix doesn't work, then I'd suspect a problem with the ports on the motherboard. Replace the motherboard/computer.

I hope this helps.

I just got the mp3 player. ive been charging it but when i disconnect it from my computer it shuts off and wont turn back on. HELP!

Some older computers that have USB ports that limit the output to 5V @ .5 amp current. Depending on your MP3 player, it may not be sufficient to charge the player. This was the spec back then. Since then, new USB specs call for 5V @ 1.0 amp current - a two fold increase in current.

You may have better luck connecting to a powered USB hub instead. If you're only looking to charge the MP3 player, you don't even need to connect it to the computer. The powered hub gets powered by connecting the ac adapter / power supply to a wall outlet - instead from of the computer's power supply via mother board.

The above assumes there is a good, rechargeable battery; a functioning charger & USB port in the MP3 player and of course, a working USB cable. If any of the above is faulty, you'll never get the MP3 Player to accept a charge. You should try different computers, cables and ports if possible.

Good luck!

Hello i want to use my motorola w270 to connect to an internet over pc i have installed motorola phone tools v4.5 as well as v5.0 but both version is unable to detect my phone. So please suggest me how i...

Try to plug your phone to other USB port in your PC I will recommend to plug it at the USB port at the back of your CPU. USB supply of power at the back of the CPU is sufficient to make your device function properly so it may be able to detect by the system..mostly device can't recognize by the system because they didn't function properly specially if they are plugged in a USB port who don't have enough supply of power to make them work properly..Hope it may help you..

Not an driver problem. Your front USB ports cable not connected with motherboard. Connect the cable in USB jack in the motherboard. Some time no cable inside the cabinet, in case buy new cable and connect it.

My 500gb portable harddrive was working but then i tried gettin into it, and all of a sudden it closed and will now, not load up when connected to any computers. it turns on but will not load up on screen.

These drives usually take a few min to be recognized by windows 7. If its not windows 7 try another usb port make sure its a port directly on the pc not on a hub.If still nothing connect it to the pc go to control panel>>administrative tools>>computer management>>storage>>disk management and see if its in the list of drives. If it isnt then you prolly have a defective drive.
