I am not being able to review any channel and the menu buttom is not responding. If you press it freezes everything, no button fromthe remote will respond. I have changed the batteries and still not joy. Some channels you can hear them but with no pictures. What do I do?

I cannot view the full screen menu because I cannot use the menu button - it freezes everything. So dont know why the menu button is not responding whilst the rest of the buttons are working.

Samsung LE32R74BDX 32 in......

just spoke to Samsung support and it turns out that the freeview tuner had froze and needed resetting. To do this put TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu. Press the 'down arrow' untill you've highlighted option 12 - 'reset' and then press the 'right arrow' to enter the option. TV will turn off and when you turn back on it will start in 'plug & play' mode as if new. Set the time and country options and then it will perform a complete scan. I've just retuned mine and all back to normal. Hoorah!!!! :-)

your turning section is not responding to any input, hence needs to be checked by a technician. every thing you have mentioned are controlled by one ic, with its respective voltages.

Menu wont work, continuos channel search

Usually, this means that something has spilled into the front of the set and has contaminated the pushbuttons. If one of the channel pushbuttons has fluid in it, the set will just sit there searching for channels and will not respond to any other commands. The computer thinks you are pushing the channel button and responds accordingly. When you push another button the computer does nothing because it thinks that you are pressing 2 buttons at the same time. The board should be cleaned and any contaminated pushbuttons replaced by a qualified tech.

REMOTE LOCKED

On most television remotes, there are buttons to control other units. If these buttons are hit by accident, then the remote acts like you described. Look at the top of the remote and find the button that says TV. Push it and it should start working normal. Since I'm not at my shop, I don't know the exact button or names. If this doesn't work, respond to this post and I will reply when I have a schematic in front of me.
