hi ; there's a problem in screen driver of your LCD, if you lost your receipt,that's bad luck. if you know how to disassemble the back case of the TV , you can try some RESETTING of connectors from LCD screen driver to display driver board its only 50% chance to remove the line. thanks.....
my sony bravia BX42 has a color green horizontal line and it makes bigger and bigger until some color pink was appeared then I am worried if it will not turn to normal as it goes :(
A line on an LCD screen can be cause by the screen itself going bad or the T-con board. The T-con board the attached to the screen on the backside and covered by a heatshield. If you get teh part number from it you can find it online from one of the many retails that might have it. Like www.interliquidparts.com
That actually happened to a tv of mine once-i had some clear diet soda get spilled on front, I didn't clean it out(just off of screen) and I corroded the contacts on the lcd itself. if it is a recent problem get it cleaned/clean it yourself as soon as possible to prevent damage to screens connections. hope this was helpful, good luck. The resolution on this was to check the surge protector the television was plugged into. Once we unplugged and plugged into another surge protector, the screen went back to normal and the appearance was great. We believe this was due to one of the resistors within the surge protector may have become faulty.
Both sound like bad LCD panels. The following must be answered to confirm this: Do the lines appear on all inputs/all signal sources? Can they be seen in the OSD/menu? If yes to both questions, it is likely that the LCD panel is bad
