E2 is overfill or flooded base.
take the bottom front panel off and see if there is water in it and if so, mop it out. if it reoccurs, then you have a leak.
you will see a float device in the front approx middle and this is what actuates e2. if fault is intermittant, try putting a small weight on this - a washer for example.
if e2 is being caused by overfill and not a flooded base, then the water intake moulding needs replacing

Our dishwasher gas fault e2 we have had alook and nothing seems to be different

What do you mean "gas fault e2"? Your dishwasher is powered by electricity; not gas. Or maybe you meant to type "has fault e2" - well, now, that's quite a different story. Still we would need to know the model number of your dishwasher to be able to look up what that error code means.

My candy CDI45 is not working, it just keeps beeping and saying E2. Any tips on getting it working again would make me a happy lady again.

Hi.

E2 is called water safety level error. Unfortunately the problem is often caused by either a defective pressure switch or by a defective control board. The problem is quite common in SMEG built dishwashers like your Candy.

All you can do is disconnecting power for a couple of minutes, by either tripping circuit breaker or disconnecting power cord. That will reset control module. While power is off remove water (if any) from the bottom of the appliance.

If that does not do the job the parts must be tested and the appliance must be repaired replacing defective part.

Regards.

My smeg dishwasher stopped during a cycle and warning lights E2 come on. suggesting that it has drawn too much water and to contact customer technical services, any idea what i need to do

E2 shows that the water level switch has been tripped or its faulty, interupt the programm and switch off the dishwasher then switch it on ,programm it again and start the washing cycle again,if the problem persist then test the water level switch for possible replacement

Hi our dw 1612 integral dishwasher has thrown a fault code E2 which according to the book is a tripping of the water level switch. unfortunately the book dosent tell you where the switch is located or how...

I don't mean to make you sound stupid but it isnt a switch that you can use.

It is used in a dishwaher to make sure that the water doesnt over fill and spill over out of the dishwasher and electricute someone. it cuts off the water (when working corectly) and washes as normal or if it over fills it tells you and in your case it is error E2

you need to speak to a appliance repare shop to see what needs to be fixed or replaced.
Hopefully this has givin you some help

if you have any questions plese dont hesitate to ask
