Scroll the page down partway, left-click on - Display Assembly - in the right column.

6) Disconnect the Display Cables, and the Wireless antenna cables.
NOTE*
Make a note, or mark the cables, and connections for the WLAN cables, and WWAN cables, and WPAN cables.
(These are the Wireless antenna cables)
They each have a Black wire, and a White wire. The Black wire has a terminal it connects to, and so does the White wire.
They MUST go back to the same terminals you removed them from.
NOTE*
Make notes as to where the wires feed through their Channels, and Latches. They MUST go back in the same routing, through the same channels, and latches.
[ Access to the Wireless antenna cables, is after the bottom of the Base Assembly is removed ]
The Wireless antenna cables feed up into the Display Assembly. They go with the Display Assembly when it is removed.
7) Remove the two Philips head screws from EACH Hinge.
8) Turn the laptop over to it's usual position.
CAREFULLY open the laptop to a 90 degree straight up position, and remove the Display Assembly.
Take CARE with the Wireless antenna cables. (3 sets of two wires)
9) Lay the Display Assembly on the towel, screen side up.
Remove the Display Bezel. (Scroll the page down)
This will give you a lot more insight, as to how the thin, plastic Display Bezel should be removed, than the Service Manual states, or shows,

Removing a CCFL Display Panel is removing the LCD screen.
Same with models that use a series of LED lights as a Backlight.
(Removing an LED Display Panel)
You SHOULD have to peel back some sticky tape, in order to remove the Display Cable, from the back of the LCD screen.
If you carefully peel it back, just far enough to remove the Display Cable from the LCD screen, you should be able to reuse it.
IF, there is no sticky tape on the Display Cable connection to LCD screen, I suggest you apply a thin piece.
Make SURE the Display Cable is plugged in TIGHT, to the Display Panel. (LCD screen)
It can be a loose connection, and you won't see it.
The screen Inverter (Small long circuit board at base of LCD screen) is MATCHED to the LCD screen. They are a Matched pair.
Be SURE you obtain the correct LCD screen. Use the manufacturer's code, (letter/numbers), on the back of the old LCD screen, to match up to the new one.
Doesn't work once you have it back together again? You have a loose connection at the Display Cable TO LCD screen, or on the motherboard side. Also check the connection/s at the screen Inverter.
LED backlit LCD screens do NOT always have a screen Inverter.
IF you have an LED LCD screen, it May, or May Not use a screen Inverter.

You will have to remove the plastic strip that is around the lcd screen. Normally there are little bumpers on the plastic strip that you have to remove because they hide screws under them. Remove the bumpers, remove the screws, they gently pry the plastic strip off.
The screen itself is secured on brackets by screws, so just remove the screws from the sides of the lcd screen that secures it to the bracket. Afterwards you can bring the lcd forward as if you are closing it and the screen will fall into your hand. You don't want the screen to fall all the way out too far because there is a cable in the back of it that you will have to remove. On some models you might have to remove the screws from the brackets at the four corners to get the screen out.
Replace with lcd screen with one that is designed for your laptop, otherwise you'll be sorry.
