Use your model number & go online for Murray Riding Lawnmower & search. Most of the time you will find it. If not reply back with model numner & HP (horse power)

enter the model number and you will find a manual with pictures of how to route the belts along with a lot of other good information

Craftsman is made by Murray Corp. who also makes Murry, YardMan, Lowes, Penncraft, and on and on. Go to your local Wal-Mart, Lawn and Garden Dept. and look for the belt that fits the Murray, YardMan, Lowes, Toro, 42" Deck 14-18 HP. Or take your old belt with you, and stretch them both end to end holding the end loops with each hand. Or you could go to Sears and just tell the parts department what your mower is and they can get you a Craftsman belt. It will be the same one you get at Lowe's, Wal-Mart, ect, probably just cost a little more. Sears doesn't make mowers, they just have their colors and names put on by the manufactorer. And Murray of Ohio is the maker of these.

If you locate the model number of the tractor, go to www.murray.com and enter the number under support. It will bring up a Owners Manual which shows the routing as well as a lot of other good information. The model number is formatted something like this: 123456a78b substitute the numbers for your own tractor when you enter them at the Murray site. The model number is generally located on the rear of the tractor frame or somewhere under the seat.
