Planar PL 2210w resolutions do not match resolutions on NVIDIA or Windows

Only the HD resoloution matches the available resolutions of my video card and settings in windows. However it's only a 22" monitor so when I use that setting everything is tiny and hard to read. Do other monitors use the aspect ratios that show up in Windows display settings or in the nVIDIA control panel?

Changing of the video card

you can try to go to dell.com and search for video card optiplex 740 to find the available video cards which are compatible to your computer. you may try to search for these to see if they fit your needs and budget part# A2829980 (VisionTek Radeon HD 4650) Part# : 321-0113 (Dell 1 GB Radeon HD 7570). you will also find other matches with lower specs and price for you to review and decide if any of them will work for what you need.

I need to match is a ATI mobility radeon hd 4670

With AIO and laptop models, they are only made to work with one type of video card per the MFG. Below is the only video cards supported on this model of gateway:
ATI Radeon HD 4570 with 512 MB DDR2 Memory
ATI Radeon HD 4670 with 1 GB DDR3 Memory
Without these you will not have any success.

OK well you really do have a problem, and I wonder if the only way you will be able to resolve it, will be to increase your Video resolution, even higher, you should be able to use 1080, or 720, via the HDMI, which is natively a very high resolution system. However I feel that you will need to "Tailor" the screen size & aspect ratio for the receiving unit. Often on the TV there are controls that will alter the screen settings, resoloution, aspect ratio, width, etc, (Check your manual) some can alter the image regardless of the "Input" factors. If you cannot do this, then perhaps it may pay you to investigate "Other" softwares that perform the same functions but enable more control over the image size etc.

You say you have downloaded the VGA driver? By this I presume you are indicating that you have DLed and installed the Video driver for you brand of Video card, from the card manufacturers website, (Or similar) this indeed is important,as ONLY those drivers will allow access to any "Special" settings of features that would NOT be available when using Windows generic drivers. Also ensure you have the latest drivers too.
It maybe that you will have to output in a lesser format, say Composite,or Componet? If you have that available,or perhaps use a converter?
There are "After market" software that will allow one to "Tweak" the output to the screen, see links below.
You didn't indicate the manufacturer, so i have included both NVIDIA & ATI, software.

Samsung 244t Monitor display issue

if the monitor will match well with Nvidia GTS8800 graphic card, you need to consider two issue:
1) resolution match from windows display property and moniter manu same one.
2) refresh frequency match from windows display property-->advance-->monitor and monitor manu--> refresh frequency
if two side setting could be all matched that you can use normally
if two side setting could not be matched any above step that you can not use some resolution normally possible.

hope help you something fixed, please take a rating let me know how much helped you thanks! keep in touch your question

I am having a problem with my nvidia graphics card i believe

Go to NVIDIA control panel (Right Click on Windows Desktop)
Set and check ALL your Paramaters to match with your Hardware
reduce resolution (if required) to get the quality you ask for.
If you use CRT screen be aware of magnetic fields (Speakers, UPS, motors) interferences: try moving screen or disturbances.
Pls let me know if working.

Driver

Just look for the newest driver there is for your graphics card. Try here http://www.via.com.tw/en/products/mainboards/download_main.jsp

If you still can't set the resolution to match the optimum for your new monitor then the graphics card isn't capable of matching it. You could add a new graphics card.

HP Monitor blanking out on full screen mode

It may be worth going to the game makers web site and see if there are any patches regarding your make of your graphics card. It may also be the fact that the game resolution does not match the screen resolution, try changing it in the game settings if it's possible for you to do so, as the monitor seems to be struggling with the change of resolution as you start up the game.
