The battery is fully charged. Also, I've formatted the card, but its still blinking and will not take pictures. HELP!

Try to clean the contacts of the memory cards and, mostly, of the memory card bay of the camera. Use a dry anti-static fabric (e.g. what we use to clean eye-glasses). DON'T use any liquid cleaner of anything like that!

on the nikon support page it gives step by step instructions on how to fix this problem I had that same problem with the Nikon D1, Nikon D1h Nikonusa.com
SOURCE: Our Nikon d1x won't take
The blinking FEE message means the aperture ring is not set to minimum aperture (highest number). Turn the aperture ring to the highest number, and then find the aperture lock -- either a little slider or a button you press and turn. That will keep it from accidentally changing again.

There may be something wrong with the camera. Make sure it is set to Single Exposure setting and not Multiples. There should be a control on the top left to change this. Look for an "S". this is what you want. If that doesnt help, you may need to get it repaired.

Are you in auto mode? If it is manual then it is possible that the settings are not correct for the light. You can look at the meter to see what the camera thinks about the exposure.
It sounds as if your subject is too dark. Does this happen when the area is brightly lit? Does the flash fire?
