My factory car alarm goes off by itself, usually 5-7 times on days that hit approx. 75f and up. I've checked all the fuses, removed the horn fuses (1 10a & 1 12v10a fusible- link) and still doesn't resolve my issue. Which brought me to this option. Any advice, solution or even a point in the right direction is great appreciated and anticipated, thanks!
Hello! There is a Hood Switch designed to operate the Alarm If the hood is opened when the car is locked with alarm set...The Hood Switch is affected by heat from the engine plus the ambient temperature...The wire colors on the two pin switch connector are...Black/Pink and Black...Replace the switch OR clip a wire across those two pins which tells the system the switch is permanently closed...If this doesn't work, try disconnecting the connector which leaves the switch permanently open...I believe if you short out the switch the system won't know and the trouble will be removed...Guru...saailer

all alarms have disable function usually located down underneath the driver side, look for a small toggle switch or momentary switch, turn the key to the on position , click the switch once or twice to the small red l.e.d light stays on constant.
SOURCE: horn does'nt work
please check power going to horn with power tester or you can make your own with a bulb holder and two wires earth one wire and put other to the horn possitive and get some one the press horn if it lights then put one wire to the possitive and the other to the negitive press horn again if it lights then all wires and connections are ok so its your horn, if any time the bulb doesnt lighe then the problem lies it that wire.

the easiest way will be to take it 2 a subaru dealer or an auto electriction and get them 2 remove the alarm..but you could dissconnect and un bolt the external alarm siren..

It's going to have to be looked at. But you can try unlocking a different door with the key. Hold it to the left (unlock position) for 2 or three seconds. Should shut off the alarm and allow you to start it.
