There should be a tiny switch somewhere on the exterior of your card that can be switched with either a terminal screwdriver or a finger nail.

When i try to format my micro sd card system shows remove write protect how can i format it

Hi, i have here a photo that will show you on how to remove write protect on a micro SD.
1. You need to insert your micro SD into an adapter. 2. Unlock the micro SD through your adapter as shown below. 3. Once done, your micro SD is no longer write protected. eibraz_16.jpg

NOTE: The lock switch doesn't lock the micro SD into the adapter; The lock switch doesn't lock the data on the micro SD; The lock switch simply tells the "user" not to write. It just says "please, don't write me."
I hope this helps.

SD Card Write Protect

Good day,

This tip will explain how to remove the write protect from your SD Card.

This is a easy fix and won't take a minute.

First remove your SD Card from your device. You will see on the side of the SD Card that there is a small switch. If your SD Card complains about being write protected simply put the switch in the opposite position. Some of the SD Cards even have the word LOCK on near the switch indicating the direction the switch must be to LOCK the card.

Once the switch is changed you can put the SD Card back into your device and the problem of write protection would be solved.

Please feel free to let me know if this tip was able to help you!

If you are using a microSD/microSDHC card or a miniSD/miniSDHC card, insert the card into the standard SD adapter.

I PURCHASED A KINGSTON MMC MOBILE SD CARD, AND INSERTED INTO THE SLOT OF MY PHONE AND WAS NOT ABLE STORED ANY DATA ON IT, SUGGESTING THAT MAY BE THERE IS A LITTLE PROBLEM WITH MY PHONE, SO I DECIDED TO...

SD cards allow you to store digital information; you can use SD cards with most electronic devices like digital cameras and computers.
An SD card will become write protected if the switch on the card is placed on the "Lock" position. This prevents any information on the card from being altered or deleted.
If you wish to add, delete or change any of the information, you must remove the write protection.
Remove the SD card from the computer or digital device.
Locate a switch on the bottom or side of the SD card.
Move the switch to the "Unlocked" position to remove the write protection.
If you do not have a switch, you will need to remove the write protection with your computer.
Insert the SD card into your computer's card reader or back into the digital device.
You can now save and change information on the card.

My microsd 2gb memory card show write protected.plz help me

You will need to use a regular SD Card Adapter for the micro sd card. The micro sd card itself does not have a write protected switch, but a regular SD card adapter will, and that does affect the microsd card. You just need to put it in an adapter, flip the switch to make sure it knows it is "locked" - so switch it to locked first, then switch it to unlocked. From there you should be able to write to the card. If you can not then it is possible the micro-sd card is having physical problems and may need to be replaced. Here is a little diagram showing how to unlock the card. Before you go though please make sure to rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me for you to do so. I would be forever grateful!
