I have this korg x50 and it powers on but when you try to turn up the volume its not outputting anywhere close to the amount of volume its suppose to be. Also the fader for the volume switch cuts out after you get toward max volume. I ordered another potentiometer for it and I may try to install that. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Hello,
To gain access to the electronics, you need to take the Korg X50 synth keyboard apart. And to take the keyboard apart, you must unscrew all the screws including the one with a dash mark and the ones with dot.
All screws must be unscrewed in other to successfully take the keyboard cover apart.
Once you have successfully remove all the screws, you can use a flat screw driver to pry the keyboard from the side applying little force.
But I would advice that if this keyboard is till under warranty, I would suggest, you take it back to where you bought it so that another one will be give to you. The moment the keyboard is taken apart or disassembled, the warranty of the keyboard would be void. I hope you are aware of this.
Good luck.
