Sensing light comes on and then the timer stop going down

I believe that it is a 2003 kenmore elite ultra wash. It seams to be cleaning the dishes, but a short time after the wash is started the sensing light will come back on and then the timer will stop going down. The washer will continue to wash for quite a while with the timer not going down. I shut the machine off after it washed for 20 to 25 min with the timer stuck at 76min.

Same problem, timer stops and the cycle keeps running, mare go for an hour or so. It may be the heating element or heating sensor may no longer work?? Help

I have exactly the same problem... but no solution. I have been running on time saver for more than a year now.

I do nto have a solution- just the exact same problem. My machine gets stuck on 76 when doing a "normal wash" . last night I hit cancel and drain, then went to "time saver" and ran the wash and it seemed to work fine. Funny that both of our amchines stop at 76. Any ideas?

some of the dishwasher have a device in them that you have to remove the container and clean it. mine is up side down cup that unscrews.

My dishwasher will run and seems to clean but the panel is flashing. There is water sitting at the bottom and the panel shows red. Not sure how yo reset.

Check the filter and if equipped check the float in the bottom of the washer itself. Some of these circuit board will go bad and still function to some degree, but check the simple things first

My Kenmore Elite Ultra Wash Dishwasher keeps shutting off before entering the cycle. I have repositioned dishes, even emptied it, changed cycle and tried everything. When I press the start light flashes...

I too had problems with the Kenmore Elite (aka Bosch). The issue was solved by replacing the Lock Sensor on the door. After replacing the sensor the dishwasher has been working. Hope this helps.

Water in bottom of kenmore elite ultra wash dishwasher

you must check the filters that are at the bottom under the spray arm
then you must start and then hold down cancel or stop and it should kick in the automatic water discharge mode and activate the water pump if this does not work you need new dishwasher pump installed which can be found online by googleing your model number. gut if this all works then the small flapper thats internal on the pump isnt sealing and allowing water to flow back into the bottom. last but not least you might need a new control board.

CHANCES ARE YOUR WATER TEMP IS TOO COOL and the 2nd
PROBLEM IS VERY HARD WATER THAT IS CAUSING THE WHITE RESIDUE. RAISE THE TEMP ON HOUSEHOLD WATER TO 140 F AND ADD SOME SALT TO THE WASH CYCLE. LASTLY USE A LIQUID DETERGENT LIKE LIQUID CASCADE.

the sensing light and buzzing are normal let it do that on its on then let me know what happens its a soil sensing light and is supposed to run a cycle on its own to clear it but lets see .we will go from there ok

ok " timer has a small stepper motor in it, and it can be replaced

take stepper motor out .

HI, Same thing happened to me today and Sears more than willing to charge me 200.00 for a 1 year service agreement. I found the answer on askmehelpdesk.com and the answer is: To reset a Kenmore Ultra Wash elite series dishwasher (stuck on clean) simply push heated/dry then normal wash and do the same thing again. Panel will reset itself and it hopefully will run normally again. Mine did and I am rejoicing! Julie
