Ricoh Aficio 2035G Duplex issue

You could have a broken actuator or the spring came of. I would check all areas for paper not only the duplex area. I've seen paper jams in other areas show a different indication on the display.

In Windows 7, you can right click on the printer under Devices and Printers, then select "Printer properties" (not "Properties"), then under "Device Settings" you can set the "Duplex Unit" to "Installed". Afterwards, you can go back to "Printing Preferences"->"Finishing"->"Print on Both Sides"->Print on Long/Short Edge.

there is a sw on the duplex unit that tells the copier it is closed my guess is that its broke

If you go into the print driver settings (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes > right click on the Ricoh 2027 and select Properties) there is a list of the available accessories under one of the tabs (I think it's either Accessories, Advanced, or something similar). Depending on the specific driver you have, you can either check the option for the duplex unit and then click Apply, or you can click the Update Now button to have the software itself check to see which options are installed on the copier.

Either way, you should be able to print duplex copies once you've done of those two things (assuming you actually have a duplex unit installed on the copier, of course).

There are certain models that can duplex and certain models that can't. Generally if a Ricoh copier can duplex it has a D after the name (like 2018D). If there is no option for duplexing on the screen or the ops panel, that model doesn't support duplexing.

Check if your copier has DUPLEX unit installed, the Duplex unit is a optional component for copiers, seems that you don't have that option installed.

Go to the start menu from the windows desktop then go to printers and faxes then when you will see the driver for the AP 3200 click the right click while the pointer is on the driver and then click properties from the drop menu, then go to accessories and see do the Duplex unit is selected but first see do you have the duplex unit on your printer you will easy notice by the picture when you will select the duplex unit.If you have the duplex unit on the printer then just select the duplex unit then click apply and then ok and now you can close the window. now when you will want to print duplex when you will click the print button from the word or PDF document go to properties and select that you want to print duplex

it is possible that the duplex door switch or actuator is bent or out of position and not making good contact the switch on that model is a small plastic switch and it may need to be replaced if that is the case you may need to call a ricoh service tech to replace the switch.
the switch is inexpensive a few dollars but the cost of the csr could be $113.00 per hr or more.

Do you mean your duplex unit is not working on the right side of copier?If so, check your door interlock switch where the duplex unit closes up against the copier.If it is bent or not making contact the oper. panel will not let you select duplex.

Go to "start" then "printers and faxes" ( If XP). RIGHT click on your default printer ( Ricoh 2022) select properties, at the top of the screen you will see a tab that says Accesaries" hilight that tab and down on the page that says "duplex" place a check mark where it says duplex. CLICK APPLY or it will not change when you exit.
