Quadrant shower tray radius

I have recently stripped out my old 800x800 quadrant shower enclosure because of constant leaking problems. On trying to purchase a new one I need to find out the radius of the existing tray, I'm told its either 500 or 550. Can anyone please tell me how I can find this out.

Thank you

Since having replacement for daryl shower enclosure fitted by kohler quadrant, the water is not draining away - we have to keep clearing with plastic pump. not sure if this is due to the new type of drain mechanicsm they are using, our plumber had not seen this type before but causing real issues - shower tray completely full of water when having quick shower, almost overflowing

Had shower installed. shower leaks from under the base of shower. What could cause this?

your shower pan and drain assembly may not be tightened adequately, you may have a drain to 'p' trap leak, or the enclosure itself may not be completely sealed to water leakage.

If you have any means to visually inspect the plumbing, or the surround from the back side, do so while the shower is running, to identify where the water is coming from.

The formula for the volume of a cylinder with a height of 5 units is mc026-1.jpgwhere r is the radius of the cylinder. In which quadrant(s) is the graph of this function V(r)?

All in the 1st as you can't have a negative radius meaningfully. If you do, the graph is in the 1st and 4th quadrants

Pi * r^2 * h is always a positive answer anyway.

Water leak behind shower wall when i turn on hot and cold water

If it only happens when you turn the water to the shower on, it must be a problem with the piping after the valve. Take the shower arm out and wrap it with Teflon, it could be as simple as leaking threads. It could also be a leaking/poorly soldered copper fitting, or even a defect in the enclosure itself.

Every time we use the shower there is a very pugnent smell [fishy] all drains been checked, all pluming been checked, all water is fine. shower is 11 years old could this be the problem. the shower we have...

Also check the following things:

The control unit, hose and shower head - depending on the type, some heads will hold water. Remove them and check to see if they are exhibiting signs of mold or possible failure. At 11 years old, the element could be on its way out. If your Mira unit has an auxiliary pump, it should be checked as well. If it's the shower head, you can try to soak it in white vinegar to remove the smell, or simply replace it. If you have well water, you should consider flushing the system to be sure water isn't being trapped somewhere. Also, if the iron content of the water is high, or if your water softener isn't operating properly, that could be an issue as well. The Mira control unit may need to be de-scaled or otherwise checked.

Check the shower stall walls (with no tub) at the bottom where they meet the basin, unless the shower enclosure is all one piece. There could be mold behind the intersection of the walls and base.

Look for any trace of mold growth around any other enclosure components.

If the shower is in a tub, remove the overflow cover on the tub and see if there is any trace of mildew or mold in that area. Follow your nose.

Finally, check for any excessive build up of soap scum, although this is less likely because you'd notice it more readily.

Things like this can be tough to diagnose, so just take things slow and one at a time.

Water not getting through

If you look under that white nozzle you will notice a small hole that leads to the drain tray, clean out hole and the area or small enclosure around the white nozzle (clogged with coffee grounds), and make sure that if you pour a little water in that enclosure it goes to the drain tray. That will solve the water under machine problem.
For the amount of water from the coffee nozzle, check brew unit, you will have to remove the shower screen and clean, make sure that the unit is not clogged in one of the tubes.

Installation Rules?

There are four golden rules for installing a shower enclosure. The first golden rule is to make sure that the shower tray is level. If it is not, then problems will occur throughout the rest of the installation. Use a good quality spirit level and where possible install a tray that has adjustable legs. There are often problems associated with tiling over upstands as some are thick and difficult to set into the wall. The second golden rule is to install a tray that has a slim tiling up stand which is vertical and an integral part of the tray: This will make the installation easier, quicker and ensure it is totally watertight. Before installing the shower enclosure the third golden rule must be followed. A silicone sealer needs to be applied all the way around the join where the tiles meet the tray: This must be sealed first, to ensure there is no chance of water getting behind the wall channels and then into the walls. This is one of the biggest problems associated with shower installations but is easily solved if the silicon sealer is applied before the enclosure is fitted. The final golden rule is to fit the enclosure to the tiled surface and not on to a plastered wall, tiling up to it afterwards. Having installed the enclosure it is essential to use the same high quality silicone sealer around the outside of the enclosure. Sealing on the inside will cause leaking- not prevent it.
