Water sprayed on back of unit. After that, the hot water inlet valve worked once, then stopped. I suspect that the inlet solenoid was shorted out by water, blowing a fuse on the control board or burning out the switch circuit.
Before I lift the stacked dryer off and start troubleshooting, I wanted to check whether the hot water inlet valve control line has a fuse. This will minimize the down-time and let me know what parts to have on-hand. If you have a schematic of the board, or even a hi-res picture, that would be ideal.
Thanks!
John
What you are describing is not due to the leak. There are no fuses in the unit to protect the valves. The fuses protect the whole machine and if they failed, the unit wont power on at all. There is a control panel board on the front and a control board inside the unit near the back top. Check the connections sounds like when the tech cleans the valves that he is wiggling connections that fail later again.
SOURCE: Water temperature problem
Chief Walley, you have a temperature control board that sits right behind the timer. A thermistor senses the water and sends the info to this board. The thermistor sits at the water injector. The board may be your problem, I have seen many like this. Keep in mind that the target temp for cold is 75 degrees. If your incomming water is higher than this, you are going to get a warm fill, which they think is cold. Without being there, I would go after the board. Catriver...post back.

Have you changed your door latch wax motor yet... If you have the brown actuator pin then you want to chuck that wax motor out of there quicker than spit! You want the redesigned wax motor with the black actuator pin. I know of folks where the wax motor failure caused the timer and /or water valves to act up... See www.neptunewaxmotor.com for disassembly photos and other Neptune information.

I have a maytag too and this is a easy one and you will be so relieved when you get this done!! and your wife is going to love you toooo !! just unplug the machine 1ST then go to the back uncscrew the back panel right at the bottom of the machine is a pump its got a hose from the tub into the pump and then it leaves the pump into another hose to which leaves your home.... you can unbolt this.. take the hoses loose on both ends . Next take that the drain and hoses and wash them out / I found only a piece of paper clip around the little propeller of course i had to replace the pump but really its not that expensive. I got mine on line ebay.... like $ 20.00 but if you are lucky then you can clean that good. I even went as far as taking it apart a total of 10 minutes tops, just to find out what could be letting this not spin.... maybe yours wont be so tramatic but if it is be relieved when you know it was this simple to fix !!! good luck to you and yours.

Usually answered in minutes!
Getting HW failure within 3 minutes of washing. Repairman has been out several times and cleans the HW hose screen and it works 1 - 2 times and then the same message and the washer stops and beebs.
