Potential Problems: Cables
One possibility is that your cables are messed up. The 15 pin connection cable could be malfunctioning. You should get a new cable and replace it to see if it helps your situation. If not, the problem lies somewhere else. Environment
There could also be an electromagnetic interference affecting your computer. You should move the laptop around the building or room to see if the position of the monitor changes the flickering. If it stops when you change positions, then there is something in the virtual environment affecting your monitors ability to display properly. Display settings
If your display settings are improperly set, then your screen could flicker as a result. You should go into your desktop main screen, click Properties > Settings > Advanced > Monitor, and set your screens refresh rate at around 85 hertz or less. Video card
The other possibilities are that the video/graphics card that was integrated into your computer has stopped working. You should switch it out with a new one to see if this helps your situation. Monitor
Try to plug your monitor into a different PC/laptop. If it works properly, then you have an internal computer problem. You should also update your monitor's drivers just in case.
Look for your computer's monitor settings, then adjust its refresh rate. To modify a refresh rate on Windows, right-click anywhere on the Windows desktop. Select "Properties," then choose the "Display Properties" tab on the window that appears.
Click the "Settings" option, then select "Advanced" from the window that appears. Choose the "Monitor" tab, which lets you access a drop-down menu with the options for refresh settings adjustments. As a basic guide, use a setting of at least 75 hertz.
Confirm the change by clicking "Apply." Reboot the PC to ensure the new settings on the screen take effect. Check your screen if the blinking problem is resolved. If not, try a higher refresh setting. If there is no change on the flickering of the screen, this means the problem is not caused by the screen's refresh rate. If your computer is not running on a battery or surge protector, shut it down to safely transfer the plug to another outlet Hope this helps.

On the Monitor tab, in the Refresh Frequency list, click a new
refresh rate.
Notes
To open Display, click Start, point to Settings, click
Control Panel, and then double-click Display.
The default refresh frequency setting is 100 Hertz, although your monitor
may support a higher setting. Check your manufacturer's documentation for
information regarding the settings your monitor supports.
A higher refresh frequency reduces any flicker on your screen,
but choosing a setting that is too high for your monitor can make your display
unusable and cause damage to your hardware.
Changes to the refresh frequency affect all users that log on to the
computer.
connect the monitor with another desktop. If if works then problem is with your ram/graphics card or motherboard with inbuilt graphics. If the monitor functions the same way as before have a look at the pins on the connector. Bend/dirty pins can play havoc. If they are ok take the monitor to service centre.
