Bloomfield 3-pot coffee maker won't brew

I have a Bloomfield 8571 at our office. When we pour water in the tank to brew coffee, the water immediately rushes through and dumps into the empty coffee pot below. It doesn't actually brew, the water just runs through the system. The burners work and become hot, but the Ready to Brew light no longer comes on. Occasionally in the morning it will brew one pot, but then the machine will stop working after that. Any ideas?? (Keep in mind that we've had this machine for about 3 years - so it might just be getting old!)

    I have the same problem.
Opened up the top of the brewer and found the high limit thermo corroded so bad the wires were disconnected.

    Hopefully that solves it

These macines have an internal water heater that should be clened periodicly (monthly per manufacturers instructions but I do it quarterly/semianually/when it gets noisy :) ). The machine will have to be disasembled to do this since the tank will have to be flushed when you do this to get the chemicals out of it (vs running a pot of vinegar through your Mr. Coffee machine at home), Depending on how much scale has built up in the tank this could take several cleaninings. Scale deposits can over time impair/damage the heater or thermostat but replacement parts are cheaper than a new machine and the machine will outlast and outperform a standard coffee maker. BTW, my 8572 3 burner was built in 1972, I bought it at a flee market for $25 10 years ago put $100 in parts to get the push to brew and hot water on tap working again and it made two great pots of coffee this morning.

What can I do to have the Ready to Brew light come on? I tried to slowly pour in water and fill water tank but doesnt work.

Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are properly installed in the
brew head.

Be sure the water supply is properly connected and the water
supply valve is turned
ON

Be sure the WATER TANK IS FILLED
BEFORE plugging the brewer into a receptacle, or otherwise
connecting brewer to electrical power
THE WATER TANK MUST BE FILLED

Place an empty decanter under the brew head. Lift
the pour-over cover then pour warm tap water into the pour-over
opening until water flows from the brew head. When water stops
dripping from the brew head, empty the container.

Once the tank is full of water,
connect the brewer to electrical
power. The heating elements will begin heating the water in the
tank.
When the water has reached the proper temperature, the
"READY To BREW" light will glow. http://www.cdccoffee.com/pdf/bloomfield-8571-8572-user-manual.pdf

How do I drain a bloomfield 8571?

I would remove the big fat rubber elbow from the tank going to the fill basin...and turn the brewer upside down in my sink. This is how I drained about ten thousand of them (not joking about the ten thousand). But it depends on what you are doing. Did you want to delime it? Did you pour coffee in it by mistake instead of water?....What ever the reason be sure you let it dry out good. Coffee machines are use to flooding, spraying internally, leaking and they are built to shut down breakers. If you are pulling the tank or just removing the top, you may want to leave the water in to see how much water vs lime and sediment fill the tank. Depends on where you live. Enjoy.

Our Bloomfield 8571 three pot burner is not working properly. It seems to be tripping the circuit and water is pouring over from the top and running down underneath the machine.

Without seeing the actual unit I would say it sounds like a hose is disconnected or defective. After disconecting the electricity the top can be opened by removing the two screws in the back of the top plate.

Our church received a Bloomfield Koffee King model 8571 and no instructions on how to set up and use the coffee machine.

Hi, Get 2 pots place one under the spray head with the filter cone in....now fill the other coffee pot and start to pour water through the lid top front...keep pouring water through (about two and a half pots) until water starts to pour through the cone....now the tank is full plug her in and turn on the power switch at the back and also the front if there is one....place filter in cone..put coffee in filter...pot on burner...wait about 25 minutes until water in tank is hot...when light on front comes on pour another pot of cold water through the top and you will get a pot of hot coffee in bottom....I also think this machine can be hard wired into water main....get plummer to hook up...follow same procedure but instead of pouring water through top for coffee..hit brew switch. if it poors too much of too little you will find a timer in the machine you can adjust to allow more or less water...hope this helps.

3-Pot coffee Maker instructions

The first time you use the machine you need to make sure it is full of water - before you plug it in and turn it on. Put an empty coffee pot under the brew basket and fill another empty pot with clean cold water.

Pour the water into the coffee maker. If water comes out then you can plug it in and turn it on. The water heating tank holds about 2-1/2 pots of water so if your machine is empty you will need to keep adding water before you turn it on otherwise you may burn up the heating element.

After the green light comes on - indicating that the tank is hot you can brew a pot of coffee. This machine is meant to be left on all of the time so it is always ready to brew. If you choose to turn it off when not in use, you will need to give it about 10 minutes to fully heat up the water before you brew.
