HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One Printer series - J610 goes to sleep

My HP305 All-In-One wireless printer goes to sleep and won't start up when I attempt to print a document wirelessly. I have to go to where the printer is and cycle the power on and off in order to get it to print. Is it possible to configure this printer to 'wake up' when I send a document to it so I don't always have to manually cycle the power?

I also have the OfficeJet 6500 and had the same problem. The black text was printing using a mix of colored inks instead of the black ink, resulting in a grey, fuzzy text. I finally found a solution. In each application under Page Setup, there is an option called "Format for". Mine had been set to "Any Printer". I changed that to "Officejet 6500 E709n [830E4A]" and now it prints the black just fine. I have a Mac running 10.4.11. Hope this helps.

My wireless printer hp deskjet 3050 is not printing the wireless blue light keeps blinking and does not go solid like it used to what do i do?

if the wireless blue light is blinking, it means it's not connected to the router or it's not communicating with it.If wireless blue light is solid ,it means it's connected to the network.
you will need to reconnect the printer to the network by using a USB cable.it will configure the wireless connection.
  1. to start the installation ,click on the start button on the computer
  2. click on programs or all programs depending on the operating system on the computer
  3. look for the HP folder and then left-click on it
  4. inside the HP folder,left-click on DESKJET 3050a or DESKJET 3050 series
  5. inside the DESKJET 3050 folder, left-click on product setup and software
  6. left-click on connect a new printer
  7. it will open up a page with options on how to connect the printer
  8. select wireless and then hit next
  9. if you are prompted to connect the usb ,please connect it
  10. if it asks you whether printer is connected to the network, select no
  11. click on next
  12. if usb is already plugged in,tick the box that says it's already plugged in
  13. hit next
  14. wait for the prompt to unplug the cable
  15. try printing wirelessly
let me know if these steps do not solve your problem.

My HP Deskjet 3050 J610 series didnt come with a disk to install it how do i do it

Most HP printers will have a free software download from the hp website at www.hp.com. Just look for the downloads or support tabs, it will allow you to search by your printer model. Once downloaded, install the software then plug in the printer so the computer can find it.
