My srm 450 dont automatically turn off when its not being used. Yesterday that same one started to smell burned and smoke coming out of it even though nothing was being played

You have something between inner and outer tub remove top cover smell coming from air vents of outer tub then that is were it is
fun job its has to come all apart

If you purchased your Black & Decker yesterday and it smells "burning". so it's burning inside; don't even think it twice and return it to the shop where you bought it and CLAIM that they should change it or return your money. Don't accept that it should be "repaired"!!! I bet they sold you a typical cheap garbage assembled in some of those far east countries where quality doesn't matter.

the bad smell you refer to is a smell of the electric motor burned out have the motor replaced the machine should be ok

you more than likely have a sciezed air con compressor. most modern cars have climate control which uses air con even when demisting and when engaged the electric clutch tries to engage but the pump itself will not turn, clutch will get red hot and burn your belts

Could be you got some crud on the engine that is burning off. or, there is something on the exhaust. The best way is to remove the seat and try to duplicate the results, and you will see where the smoke is coming from

Most likely a belt problem or a worn out tensioner. You left off the year, make, model and engine so it's a guessing gamet. Read this post on how to track down the source of noise

White smoke is usually an indication of burning antifreeze and burning oil would have a more bluish tint to it and smell like burning oil. If it's a 2012, isn't it still covered by the KIA warranty though??

Your Power Output Devices got fried, if you look the pcb there's an array of devices attached to the main heatsink with screws, Q34/Q35, MJE2955/MJE3055, check them as a starting point, hope this helps.

When you turn it on....is the belt turning the brushes? Something may be caught causing the brushes to stick and the belt to just grind the brush assembly.
