Remote wire????? the isnt a remote wire coming from the back of the stereo to the remote wire connect up my amp?

Your amp needs to be connected to your stereo via rca to the rca jacks in the back of the stereo then connect the remote wire to the remote wire in the back of your stereo it should be blue with a remote flag on it. after that you need to ground the amp and run a wire to the positive terminal on the battery. make sure you install a fuse on the wire in between the battery and the amp.

not sure if it is supposed to come with one but you can just connect the remote wire from the amp to the ignition wire, its usually the red wire. Just don't connect it to the battery wire from your car that runs to the stereo otherwise amp will always stay on and kill your battery.

Yes!!!!!!!!!! Your remote wire is what tells your amplifier to turn on and off it won't work without it. Assuming your stereo headunit is an after market unit it has the correct wire for this. what you have to do is pull out you headunit, and in the back of the headunit where all the wires plug into your unit there is blue wire with a white stripe. this is the remote turn on wire. connect a wire to that blue n white wire and run it back to your amp, insert it into to the spot marked remote. turn your head unit on and your amp will power up... if you have all the rca cables hooked up your amp should be ready to go.... btw good choice on the amp, kenwood is the way to go!

In Car Amplifiers have 3 main power wires:
Live +12v (Fused wire direct from the + side of the cars battery)

Ground (Direct to car earthing point (anywhere cleaned of paint for good connection)(I tend to use boot lock)

Remote (This wire should be connected with the switched live wire coming from the back of the stereo, this is Only live when the cars ignition is on)(there should be 2 power wires coming from the stereo usually red live +12v and yellow switched live, depending on the cars original wiring, try moving the remote wire from where you have it, to the other live wire

You probably need your remote wire re-hooked and make sure the ground wire is good and the remote wire is connected to the right wire(the red wire).

on the back of the ford stereo there will be another connector which isnt being used this is the connection block you need to connect to

if you dont already have the wires im pretty sure halfords can order them

on the back of he cd player is the wire harnest there should be a SOLID blue wire on there take the remote wire connect it to that and run it to your amp and put it where the amp says remote. there is an easier way you can hook up your power to the amp then take the remote wire and just run it directly to the power wire on the amp you should only need a couple inches of wire and it will work fine

Unless a fuse is blown, there's a problem with the wiring or you have a defective component, there's no reason the amp shouldn't come on. You need to confirn that you have the proper voltage at the amp.

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp (not on the point where the ground wire connected to the vehicle) and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

You can tap the amplifier's remote wire into the accessory power lead at the back of the head unit. On most head units this is a red wire. Doing this will make your amplifier turn on and off with the key switch, rather than the deck power.
