PCCARD My Janome memory craft 95000 recognises the pc card ( SanDisk) PCMICA PC CARD ATA, but it can not show any files on the machine screen.that is I can not use any of the designs I downloaded from my laptop

You can go the the Janome web site to find drivers for your computer. When you save designs to the memory card you must save them in a folder (emb, i think}.Put a blank card in the machine while the machine is off anf=d then turn the machine on,,,It will make the folder for you.

Read the files back to computer to check they are there. Open folder by pressing it , should then show designs

Try a variety of cards to see whether it is just one faulty card, or the internal slot has a problem

You download onto PC the upgrade from Janome.
Copy this to the card for reader on your machine.
switch machine on and go to section on screen for card reader
Insert card into reader. instructions should appear for downloading onto machine.

I own the MC9000. I bought the Magic Box plus and I download designs from embroidery websites and transfer them to the memory card (ATA PC card) that came with the Magic Box. It is rewritable so I just switch out designs as I please. I bought the Magic Box about 5 years ago and paid $200 for it. It is super easy to use. I hope this helps.

I suggest to have to machine serviced if it has not been.
it could be a computer problem or mechanical problem

Since you are able to view them from the ATA (Compact Flash) card on your computer and the designs are in *.jef format you should be able open them on your machine. Make sure you have selected to view designs from the ATA memory card and not the ones stored on the machine or from the External Card Reader box.
There is an additional program called Customizer that you can import designs, edit, and transfer them to your ATA card. Mine was part of my package deal when I purchased by 9700.

# Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
# 2 Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
# 3 Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
# 4 In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
# 5 Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
# 6 Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

HI Have you contacted either the dealer you bought the machine from or Janome directly? There is a Janome group on the internet at Yahoogroups...maybe someone there would have the answer? I too have just purchased a new machine and had same problem.  You have to put the card in your sewing machine first to format it.  My machine is a Janome 10001 but think it is the same concept.  When I save a design from the internet to the card I have to drag the design into one of the Emb folders which will show up on your card after it is formatted.  Then after saving the design I can go back to the Emb folder that I saved it in and it will show up on the machine.  Hope this helps.
