May i please ask some questions about my Appian AGP Typhoon card. I can't find any other support online since they sold out. I have an Asus CUSL2-C motherboard P2 933mz, with 512 installed ram. When i boot up my computer the two 17" Sony DVI displays are in standby mode, but they will not come on till after the post/boot up process, what i mean is i can hear the computer booting up and see the harddrive light blinking but i can not see the post or even get into my BIOS cause the displays are still in standby ( they are blank) till windows loads.....so then after the post ( about 1 minute ) poof the Windows "welcome screen" comes on and then straight to the desk top then it works super super good. But if i take out the card and put in PCI video card and put connect a CRT display it works normal...i can see the post and stuff. Also i have noticed that if i try to reload and or a new install of Windows on a clean formatted or new drive that i can't do it cause the screens are blank, they never will boot up...i have to take out the Typhoon card and use the PCI card and CRT display to see to load everything. I only keep saying a PCI video card cause thats all i have, i don't have an extra regular AGP card. So its like the displays will not come on till Windows loads after the bootup. I have tried every thing, all settings are as they should be i believe.
Sounds like a nice setup! And just for the record, the company did not go out of business but changed the name of their business (now calling themselves "colorgraphic". You can find the necessary info by going to http://www.appiangraphics.com and selecting Support->Appian (http://www.appiangraphics.com/newsite/products/typhoon_downloads_manuals.html). I would recommend going into the Desktop Management Control utility (once you are booted up) and make sure the "boot to Single Screen" option is selected. From what I read you should still see everything but it might be spread across the two screens. Has this been the case since day 1 or is this something that used to work OK but no longer does? That would help a bunch. If it used to work and now doesn't, can you think of anything you might have done to cause it, like recently installed software or Windows update? The above website should give you the necessary information to solve the problem. It does appear they no longer provide support for the Appian cards (which are really just ATI cards). Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help Swobvike. I could not find that setting. But my question would still be even if all setting where right or worng, it should not matter on a fresh install. In other words the computer does not see the displays if there is no software and it should.I have had a clean new hard drive was getting ready to load XP but the displays would not turn on so i could not see to load XP.I had to take out the typhoon card and put in another card and a CRT display, then it would see the display and i could load XP.
ooops i am so sorry i spelled your name wrong
