Hi, I have a Mitsubishi wd-57733 dlp tv that shuts down

Hi, I have a Mitsubishi wd-57733 dlp tv. After playing for 20 mins. it would shut down and the lamp light would come on. I've searched google and youtube for answers. and thought it might be the fans. I removed all 3 fans and cleaned 2 of them and replaced the 120mm fan. Now it runs for close to an hour and a half then shuts down and the lamp light come on. Next step, I replaced the thermal sensor, and it still shuts down with the lamp light coming on. This is a new lamp. The lamp before lasted a month before going out. I don't get any error codes, and I can unplug it and plug it back in right after it shuts down. I've also reset it after each new bulb and everytime I've taken it apart. Do you have any ideas

SOURCE: green status light keeps blinking after lamp replacement

continuous blinking green light indicates that the capacitors have failed on the DM pwb. You need the V26 DLP DM repair kit which is available at the following link under their repair category.

SOURCE: airflow blocked tv will shut down after a few seconds

Good Day;

If you have a WD-52525 Model TV and the the screen displays "air flow problem" change the sensor. There's not a positive way to check device, just replace it, trust me. IF your TV is a different Model MIT'S has a recall on those certain Models. REPLACE.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

SOURCE: Replaced bulb in Mitsubishi WD-52525 and it still does not work

Press the input/device button and the menu button at the same time. Green LED will blink a two digit code blink 1st digit short pause blink 2nd digit longer pause and repeat. Any number of problems can cause this same symptom.

If the red LED your refering to is the Status LED and not the Lamp LED then you have big problems. A red Status LED indicates no communication from the Format board to the DMD board (light engine). 1/2 the time caps on the format board itself the other 1/2 must send entire electronics package to Mitsubishi.

SOURCE: My Mitsubishi DLP TV has a 7 month old bulb, but

take the bulb out and clean the dust on and around the fan. Doing this every 3 to 4 months will extend the bulb life. The little red lamp light that is coming on is an indicator that the bulb needs replaced. Make sure you DO NOT touch the bulb with your fingers. There is a button for reseting the bulb when you replace it. I have a 65 inch Mitsubishi DLP that the bulb just went out on. This worked for me...hope it works for you.

My WD 57733 will attempt to power up (almost like a whistling sound as it attempt to power up) then will power back down.

When was the last time you replaced the lamp? That sort of sounds like the ballast is unhappy with a bad lamp. The 57733 is a good TV. The other possibility is a stuck/dirty color wheel.

Check the lamp and see if it looks worn out(dark or grey in the tube down the center). Also make sure its either a Philips brand or Osram brand.

Let me know and Ill see what I can recommend next

Never really had that issue the one I worked on Operated normally for 20 minutes and then shut down completely. The fix for that is to get the OEM bulb instead of the replacement

Mitsubishi green blinking light of death

Hi Jim,

Green blinking light of death on Mitsubishi DLP TV means that the DM failed to booted up. I would advice you to replaced the 7 1000uf electrolytic capacitor on the DM board. Most of the time it fixed the symptoms. Please inquire at tvrepairworld.com if they have an available DM repair kit for V36 chassis (WD-57733 chassis).

I have a 57" mitsubishi

You probably have a bad lamp again I hate to say. These lamp are so critical when being moved. If after you atttempt to power on TV then red light shows, press menu+input on the front panel and hold for 5 seconds. Front timer LED will blink a 2 digit error code five times then stop. Code 34 and 66 are lamp errors, and if you read code 66 the lamp is broken. Good luck

I replaced the bulb on my mitsubishi DLP WD-57732 57 in DLP TV. A few months later a white hazeappeared on the screen.

The problem seems to be a malfunctioning DMD module. Do you still have sound when this haze appears? Are all the other controls such as volume up/down, channel up/down operational?
