Master Code and Reset

Reset your Sony TV PIN

1. Press the HOME button.
2. Scroll down to Settings.
3. In the Personal section select Parental Lock (Broadcast)
4. Enter the Master PIN (9999)
5. Select Change PIN Code and change it to your desired PIN.

On page 23 of the manual, it shows how to use the side panel buttons to get to the MENU. from there, you can get to the parental control feature.

On page 30 of the manual, it shows how to set up the parental control feature.

Hopefully, from here you can reset your parental controls without the remote.

Here is where you can download your manual for Nintendo Dsi. If you have set the parental controls and forgotten the password you can contact Nintendo and they will talk you through reseting it by giving you the master code. Nintendo has some of the best customer service I have dealt with. I have worked in electronics for 13 years and they have never let me down. Here are both links you will need. Go to parental controls in system settings. When it asks 'Change Parental Controls settings?' tap yes. When it brings up a numeric keypad, tap the center button, "I Forgot". Next, tap "I Forgot" again. Now you will be shown a screen with a number at the bottom (the 'inquiry number'). Go to http://wii.marcansoft.com/parental.psp on your computer and enter this number in the field marked confirmation number. Set the current date in your timezone and click get reset code. And Voila! Your DSi is now parental control free!

Here is the procedure to

This is what I found in the instruction manual on this and I posted it here for you. Try using 3355 for the code and everything else listed here. If that doesn't work, try the very last tip which tells you how to do a factory reset and repeat the first step using the 3355 as the code.

Here's the instructions from manual:

Parental Control
Parental Control allows you to block certain channels or programs so children cannot view
programs that are not age appropriate.
To enter the Parental Control menu, you need an
access code. The first time you enter, use access
code 3355. See "Setting an Access Code" on
page 33 for information on creating a new access
code.
You can set the following options to block
content:
• Channel Lock — Blocks selected channels
• Movie Rating — Blocks movies based on their rating (G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17, and X)
• TV Ratings — Blocks TV shows based on their rating
• Block Options — Turns on or off all your parental control settings
NOTE: You can use Clear All to unblock the channels and programs that you have set.
NOTE: If the Block Control in the Parental Control menu is enabled, all the sub screens in POP (POP1,
POP3 and POP12) mode will be blank



Setting an Access Code m
After you enter the Parental Control menu for the first time, you can set your own four-digit access
code. If for any reason you lose or forget your access code, you can use the default code.
1 In the Parental Control menu, select Change Code.
2 Using the number pad on the remote control, enter a new access code.
3 Select Exit.




Reset the original factory defaults. Press Menu on the remote
control, select Setup, and then select Factory Reset

1. Turn on your Wii console and go into the Wii Options Menu
2. Click on Wii Settings and click the right arrow until you see “Parental Controls”
3. Say “Yes” to “Change Parental Controls?”
4. Click on “I forgot” when it asks you to enter your pin
5. It will ask you for your secret question, click on “I forgot” again
6. The screen will read “If you have forgotten both your PIN and secret question, call the consumer service number listed in the Wii Operations Manual and provide the confirmation number below. You will be issued a master key.”
7. Call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 and give them the confirmation code listed on the screen. They will give you a new Master key to enter on the next screen.
8. The PIN is now reset/disabled

Disconnect power to the TV. The power interruption will allow you to reset the parental control password to the default password of 0000.

To change the password after disconnecting the power, do the following:

1. Press the Menu button on the remote.
2. Arrow up / down to SET LOCK CODE
The lock icom will appear
3. Arrow left / right to operate
4. Press 0 to access the lock code
5. The first digit will be highlighted.
Arrow left / right to select the number
Arrow up / down to move to the next digit
4. Continue to follow these directions for all 4 code numbers.
5. Arrow up / down to FINISH
6. Arrow left / right to save settings and exit.

The password has now been reset.
