Hello, I want to know how to pick up incoming calls from another extesion.

In our office, most of the time our receptionist would be entertaining clients and cannot answer it when the phone rings. I want to know how to pick up incoming calls from another extension.

Yours may be different if your TA-308 is not a U.S. version, but the family is generally 40 picks up all calls in your group and 4+the ringing extension will pick it up. Just in case they have call pickup deny set (721) you'd have to cancel it with 720.

If you are working with an Avaya system, create a pickup group, Them all of the phones in the pickup group will be able to pick up each other's calls by selecting *3. (*3 is a feature code that allows members of the pickup group to retrieve the calls.)

8042 Exists somewhere, either another extension exists or there is a group with the same extension number. fix that first.

I have 1 extension that will not go to voice mail. I have tried the *713 and a 2 digit number between 00 and 99 and it still just rings endlessly. When I make an inner office call to this ext... it picks...

What happens when you TRANSFER an outside call to that extension? If that works, you have Intercept issues which is handled with programming. If it still does not transfer, you have CF issues, started by a *710x command for both internal and outside calls.

How do I send a call to internal voice mail?

Use feature 986 (transfer to VM) then enter in the co-workers extension number. That will bypass the extension and send the caller directly to his voicemail.

Hello, if you are using this phone on a Panasonic 308 or 824 system press 40 for an external incomming call or 4 followed by the extension number to pick up a certain extension that is ringing.

This sounds like you have a phantom user as a member of your incoming hunt group. Meaning you have a user extesion without a phone associated to it (just a mailbox). Check your hunt groups and make sure there aren't any phantom users in them. If so, remove them and this will stop happening.

you need to go to your previous location and get the jack number, than go to the new location and get the jack number. now go to the phone system closet and look for these cable numbers on the 66 blocks. Swap the cross connect of the jacks and wallah your phone will be your s again! ldtnsj.com

KX-T7730 Picking up Problem

You are on the right track but the extension number is not " 0 ". There is an extension number associated with the operator phone just as your phone may be " Extension 101". If you have a display phone have the operator call you and look at your display for her/his extension number then when their phone is ringing, pick up your handset, dial 4 plus the extension number of the operator. Of course you picked the feature with conditions :-)

From the intercom 40 picks up any incoming call. 4* picks up trunk calls, and 41 plus ext number picks up a specific ringing phone.

The condition is that an extension can block call pickup by dialing 7201.. 7200 clears it.

That's what happens when you plug in the system and don't program it. You need to review ICD groups.

By default, the phone connected to the first extension is the master phone and the only phone that rings.
