Clothes with pin holes are seen afetr washing/drying with He2 plus/He Washer dryer combination

We have in some our clothes (mostly T shirts and kids shirts) holes that are no more than 1/6th /1/8th inch diameter near the stomach/abdominal region of these garments. These holes seems to develop after two to three wash cycles. As many as four to five are observed and they grow with additional cycles. We use Kenmore H2 plus upright washer and HE 2 upright dryer. We think this si due to the dryer since we do not see these holes after we started to hung-dry these clothes. We use wash/dry cycles based on the type of garments. Any thoughts on this issue?

Thanks. I did not mean imply that these were combo units. These are separate units and have tried varying loads. The holes are observed only around the stomach/abdominal area (lower part of the clothes) and only in thin materials such as T-shirts and kids' shirts.

This exact problem happens to us also. We have an LG top loader. It is also starting to snag towels and I now they are developing holes. It is the pulsator cap in the middle of the bottom of the tub. It has tiny sharp edges so that when clothes are pulled over it during the washing and rinsing they are caught. It took me awhile to figure this out. I now put everything in Tide mesh bags, even sheets because they have tiny holes, too. I use the looser hole mesh bags don't help. I am working with LG now to take care of this situation and they seem very willing to get it taken care of.

Check the drum surface of your dryer for possible object that may be stucked in the drum holes that may cause damage to the clothes. You may do similar checks of the washer drum if your dryer drum checked negative.

Good hunting.

Strange yellowish circle appearing on white shirts

i believe the stains are actually semi burn marks. If you are drying your whites try a lower heat setting. i had this problem with my kenmore dryer before too. Got bad especially with towels. Make sure your vent is not clogged and your filter is cleaned regularly to let the heat flow better. should help.

My clothes are taking up to 4 hours to dry..

Verify unrestricted air flow at the outside discharge port for the dryer. If in doubt, pull the hose from the rear of the dryer, turn it on and form an opinion about air flow volume, then outside must be very similar.

I have a kenmore HE2 dryer and matching washer. It is 3 years old. It works and eventually clothes do dry. It does heat up. But it doesn't heat up as hot as it used to and it takes twice as long to dry...

Make sure you check your exhaust line and where the air blows to the outside. If your exhaust vent or hose is bent or restricted it will take a very long time to dry the clothes. Sometimes the vent flap on the outside exhaust is stuck shut. Clear dryer exhaust venting is critical for proper operation. Several companies offer a vent cleaning service where they completely clean out the exhaust lines.

Holes in clothes

Inspect the rubber seal, and steel drum to make sure there is no foreign object sticking out, which could be tearing holes in your clothes. Also check to see if any of the holes in the steel drum are dented in. or out or misshaped, as this could cause the tumbling action of the drum to tear clothes.

Lint on Clothes

When you wash clothes, they lose fibers from the agitator and unfortunately when you hang dry them the fibers from eachother or other articles of clothing stick to it making them look like they have lint on them. Drying them in the dryer removes this lint. I suggest drying them in the dryer and to prevent wrinkles hang them as soon as possible after dryer stops other than that I know of no solution in the wash for this problem. Good Luck.
