The codes given by my Comcast Remote (0000, 0111) won't work to control my new BRAVIA TV.
Emailed Sony who said it was Comcasts problem. Comcast said it was Sony's problem.
cannot change channels. we have a picture and voice but channels won,t switch.
Hi,
By any chance are you trying to use the remote in dark room ?
Some LCD TVs have that problem.
if not,
try this which I found in Fixya
What you need to do is steal some codes from a like product and then hardcode in the changes you need to the comcast remote. Set your AUX to 21232 (a sony code for TV/VCRs).
Then do the following:
1. While still on AUX, press and hold SETUP again until the remote blinks twice
2. Type 994
3. Press and release SETUP
4. Type 32975
5. Press and release VOL+
The remote should blink twice. That should reprogram the VOL+ to work with your Sony HT device. For each of the following function codes, follow the same steps and use the codes listed below:
Vol+ = 32975
Vol- = 31951
Power = 32719

Try searching for your code.
Example: You've tried all the codes for your TV, but you still cannot get the remote control to operate your TV.
Note: Use the AUX key to program the remote for an audio receiver or DVD player.
Or try using the prefix '1'. ie, 10000 or 10111.Turn your TV on
On the remote, press and release the TV key on the very top of the remote.
Press and hold the Setup key, until the "TV" key flashes twice, then release the "Setup" key.
Using
the number pad, enter in 10000 or 10111 If you do this correctly the "TV" key
will flash twice. Now it's programmed! Now point the remote at your TV and press the Power key. If the TV turns off, you're golden. If not, try again with the next code on the list.

Sony has unique code for all equipments, those are 0000, and 0111, if doesn't work with your tv the problem it is on the remote control.

I have a Sony Bravia 32" flat ls screen television. My control, via the remote, has become very slow taking several seconds to process the changing of channels, etc. although the sound changes instantly. CEEFAX is similarly effected. I have changed the batteries of the remote and switched the set off and on again but the problem remains.
