I was trying to back out a transaction by turning the manager key to "refund". Now all it does is beep at you no matter what you press. The display shows E-01 0.00. The model number is PCR-265P
Re: MY REGISTER ONLY BEEPS NO MATTER WHAT YOU PRESS
Hi. It is warning you that you didn't finish before changing modes. Go back to where you were (prob REG mode) and finish the sale before turning to refund mode. You can never turn the key before finishing in any mode.

Normally because a transaction wasn't finished, for instance hitting a discount key where the choice is 5% or 10%, not hitting the number and then pressing Total.
Or you are in X or Y Mode and not in Reg.
You can try turning the key to off, remove the wall plug for 1 minutes and then plug it back in.
try to do an 'initial clear'
turn power switch on right side of reg to OFF pos
turn control lock to P position
press and hold SBTL key and turn power switch to ON pos
should print 'Initial clear ok'
might need to repeat a couple of times
Try this: Turn key to program mode 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL This should remove the preset amount from the CASH button. Now it should work normally when finishing the sale. Now turn back to REG mode when entering the price, DO NOT use a decimal, so type 2000 for 20 dollars. Now press a PLU (item) button. SUBTOTAL Type the amount received (NO DECIMAL, so 5000 for 50 dollars) Press CASH Change should be displayed, and drawer open --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Looking for a manual for a Casio TE-2200, TE-2400 cash register? It means you didn't finish in the other mode before you turned the key. You need to turn the key back to where you were (presumably prog mode) and finish the programming. It sounds like you have a Casio, so you would press SUBTOTAL to end programming before moving to REG mode.

The reason it went into error is due to someone turning the key to another mode without finishing the current transaction. Turn the key to each mode until you find the mode that doesn't give error 1. If that mode is X or Z, then press SUBTOTAL. If that mode is REG, then press SUBTOTAL to see the amount due, then type that amount and press CASH

Hi. You have set the register to program mode. Turn the key back to Z/PGM, then press SUBTOTAL (you might have to press it twice). It may print a list. This is normal. Then turn back to reg mode, and you should be back in business.
