I have all in one Photosmart C7280. I am trying to make color copies and they are not coming out in the right color (ie blue is coming out pink); I have changed all the ink cartridges except for the black since I knew it was new. Can you help!

My HP Photosmart c7280 will not print pink or magenta. How can I fix this issue?

Sounds very much like you have a clogged printer head you should run the deep clean procedure form the printer dialog. If that does not fix the issue you may need to replace the print head.

How do you copy on this printer? I've pushed every button I can think of.

Please take a look at this illustrated picture:

Left = Black (Copy)
Right = Color (Copy).

If you have problem, let me know.

Good Luck.

My magenta ink is not showing up on the diagnostic test. Print is coming out with alot of green and blue colors. I have a C7280 Hp all in one printer. Mickey

Use the HP Printing Assistant software to run a "nozzle check" -- to ensure that each of the 3 ink-jets is not CLOGGED, and therefore is not jetting ink onto the paper. If necessary, run 3 (or 6) "head-cleaning" cycles.

Then, try a different tri-colour ink-cartridge.

you need to make sure all your ink cartridges are full, if they are, I would take them out and put them back in and rerun alignment

Unable to add a functioning (second) printer, for greyscale.

Clicked on Start/Control Panel/PrinterI. Clicked Add a printer. Obtained (Copy 1) of my HP Photosmart C7280 all-in-one printer. Right clicked on (Copy 1)/properties. Opened Ports tab. Saw comment "Print to the following Ports. Documents will print to the first free checked port." A listed USB Virtual printer port, showed three printers -- my first printer, my copy 1 (& my fax printer) -- was unchecked. I placed a checkmark in this Port box. Both the original printer, and my copy 1 printer are printing just fine. *I have not checked to verify that my fax is functional.
I did rename the original "color". I renamed Copy 1 as "grayscale", and --under printer preferences, checked, under "color options", to print in greyscale.
