My Brother 5250DN goes into sleep mode, and then, on occasion, will not wake up when someone prints to it. This printer has a static IP address, sleep mode timer adjusted 240 (max), and did not have this issue until a recent drum replacement was performed. Is there a way to completely disable the sleep mode of this printer?

I'd be happy to give you the solution to this problem :)
You'll want to go into the menu and choose these options: 1,6, and 2. The final stop should give you the sleep menu.
The printer is setup for a default of 5 minutes. But you can change it from 00 to 99 minutes. To just shut it off, press the Options and Start button simultaneously and that will do the trick.

If I wasn't specific enough, the solution is on page 2-6

do you know how to network a 7420 fax ?
SOURCE: I want to find the MAC address on a Brother
Go to Printers and Faxes.
Right click on the printer and select Properties.
Toward the bottom, click on Printing Preferences...
Click on the Support tab.
Click on Print Settings.
This should give you three pages. The third page has the network settings including Ethernet/MAC address.
SOURCE: brother 5250dn drum light blinking; I think drum
The drum light is on due to a preset counter to notify you that the drum has reached the end of Normal Usage life expectancy. It doesn't mean that it has failed, yet...but soon. I would suggest having a new drum on hand for when print quality starts failing. Either new drum units have a reset fuse in them to clear the warning light, or there is a reset proceedure to use after installing the new drum unit.
SOURCE: I've installed a new drum AND a new toner
Try this....
1: Turn off power and remove toner/drum
2: Tape the little spring loaded lever just inside the printer on the upper left hand side in the *DOWN* position! Do not replace drum yet and...
3: Turn power on to printer and let it cycle. Status/Toner lights will come on as usual.
4: Turn off printer, remove tape from lever, replace drum and turn back on.
