Yes, you need to press button #1 on the livebox , which will put it into 'accepting new wifi devices' mode. This lasts about 1 hour.Presumably you've entered the wep key from the label on the bottom of the livebox into your macbook? don't forget it's got to be UPPERCASE characters!

SOURCE: Orange Parential Control Windows Vista

Hi,
Use the following link to disable parental control
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/disable-user-account-control-uac-the-easy-way-on-windows-vista/

The second option you can try is do a system restore, ie take it back to the day it was working fine.
To do the same

Click the start button (pearl) and type system restore in start search.....

choose a restore point when you first installed the software....

Thanks

Yes you can allways share your network connection and let others in the range use it.
if you right click on my network connection go to propertis of the connection and you could have the option share this connection and will be able to share it.
if your service provider has not blocked it.

What is cognac?

A type of brandy made from brandwijn, white grapes grown in the Charante region of France. Here is a quote from the link below: Under a century-old French law, only distillers based in France's Cognac region have the right to call their double-distilled spirits stored for a time in oak barrels (thus, the brown hue) "cognac." Companies based elsewhere, whether within or outside France, which still publicly insist on marketing their products as cognac, are guilty of misrepresentation, and can be hailed to court.

Most routers (including this one) have a reset in the back. Hold it in till it cycles. This will clear all custom settings and set original defaults.

Hi there, I hope you can help me. My cousin got a Sony Ericsson P910i from someone from France (when we had the world cup soccer). However, the phone is locked by "Orange in France" and my...

Your best bet will be to contact your (or your cousin's) cell provider and see if they can assist. My sister-in-law is from Germany, and she had a tough time getting the her phone onto our Verizon plan. The mall kiosks were unable to help her switch the phone over, and eventually she had call to pay a special activation fee that was about twice the normal charge. You could contact Orange of France (orange.fr) however, I've only heard of phones being locked if there is an outstanding amount past due, or the phone has been reported as stolen. Any provider that supports that Ericsson model will be able to set it up, likely for an additional charge. Good luck!

hope this helps,

Wanadoo router (Livebox) is "open"

Welcome to FixYa.

If you are in France, then chances are, your internet service provider is not ORANGE Broadband? (http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/)

Wanadoo router (livebox) has locked its router for their broadband service only or at least an affiliated one.

Try to use the CD that came with it to setup the connection and you will find out while entering your username and password, you will receive and error that says what you entered is not a domain used by Wanadoo.

Livebox will not try to authenticate over PPPoA unless the user has entered a username within a Wanadoo domain.

That is why there is no way to login to it's GUI (http://192.186...).

You can try http://192.168.1.200 or http://192.168.1.1 (this one should be the correct one)

There is no contact information for France since the internet service provider of Wanadoo operates only in the UK. (http://shop.orange.co.uk/broadband/)

I hope this information will save you time in searching for answers that do not matter.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Have a great day.

While living in france our orange livebox keeps dissconnecting (light turns red) although it re sets itself it loses connection. How can i solve this problem?

The device gets reset itself due to below points

1. The power supply is not good which fluctuates a lot
2. The memory is bad in the device

get the power supply checked first , if it doesnt help ask the manufacturer to repair the box if it is still under warrenty

Open nokia 1600

French supplied phone are unlocked. It's illegal for the devices to be locked on a French network.
I need the IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number. Type this code in your phone to get it: *#06# you can also find it beneath the battery.
I also need to know the make and model of phone, the network that the phone is locked on, and the country the network is from. Then I will give you the codes.

You say you're in France using Orange!. Orange from which country?
