The most heavy set ever made by Sony----lots of possible reasons from a bad fuse--to a bad D board (deflection board) and a major hassle to just get it apart----These were rather expensive sets but now most of them are being recycled and replaced, if you have to have it fixed it will have to go to a shop etc which will just add to the repair costs.
If not a fuse a home service call usually will be a waste of time and money.
The last one of these we had used in our shop took four months to sell and sold for 250 dollars----a far cry from the original cost of this set when new.
