LG LCD 37'' standby problem

I have an LG 37inch LCD tv. it turned it self off and now everytime i plug it in the standby light comes on red then turns to green but the screen doesnt come on, then after a while it turns off n goes to red again. non of the buttons respond on the tv at all.

Mine does exactly the same thing, and it has been happening off and on for some time now. Last time it happened the TV was out for four days, I woke up in the middle of the night and it was on again.
I suspect it could be the power supply.

its this model LG RZ 37LZ55 - 37" LCD TV not the one on my pic, only problem is that the dog chewed the remote control. would that be a problem for u?

37" LG lcd tv. When I plug it in the standby light comes on flashing. It remains flashing for approx. 40 mins. Then red light stays on solid. I can then turn the tv on. Sometimes it comes on at the...

you mind find its either the memory in the tv or its telling you to change the remote batteries

Are you certain the replacement power supply is good? A defective main board or power supply can cause this problem.

Medion lcd hd 31.5 inch tv won't turn on

I bought one also from ALDI for my son's Xbox 360, it is only 3 weeks in use and I have the same problem. The red led is on, indicating that it is in standby mode and recieving power but I can't turn it on either by pressing the power on button on the TV it's self or the on button on the remote. This started happening a few days ago and it's totally random. I found that if you unplug the TV from the power point or alternatively switch off the power point for a minute, than power it on again it will "WORK AGAIN" for a while. Like I said it is random, eventually it will return to the not being able to be switched on state at which time you will have to repeat the process. So thus, this is not really a solution. I am about to return the TV for a refund, and it's a shame because otherwise it's not too bad. and looks OK too.

I have a LG 32LG3000 LCD TV and the power light continually flashed red and the tv does not turn on.

Tries tv unplug,replug it back like about an hour later.See,if the tv will resetting self and working again.Not.The tv power supply board it is the causes and the problems.That the board where the tv power a/c cord plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv power supply board for the replacement.

LG 37LF65 LCD TV BLINKS 3 GREEN THEN 1 RED THEN TURNS OFF.

Here's a link to the service manual for a slightly larger LG LCD TV. Perhaps it may be of some help? The troubleshooting section appears to be the same for many models of LG TVs...

Philips 37PF7320A/37 won't turn on

That blinking led is an error code for the audio standby board in the set. It should not go out this soon and yes it should last longer.

New Sceptre 37" LCD TV does not turn on

I just got a 42" komodo by Sceptre, same problem, except "SCEPTRE" showed on the screen. I was sent a USB key program to insert in the service slot in the back and it reflashes the bios. This is old news for you but maybe new for someone?
