The Battery Won't Hold A Charge

I have only had the phone for about a year, and the battery won't hold a charge. I have never experienced such a short life span when it came to a GE product, of which I am a very big fan of. I would like to know if GE will replace the battery for no charge or for a discount? Please reply ASAP. Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely

Unlikely
just go out and buy a new battery for the item
remember battery life depends on the data download usage so if you are a big fan of movies and the like , the battery life will be short

SOURCE: phone willnot hold a charge

when I had this problem, it was the battery... it wouldn't charge anymore. you have to go get a new battery. Unfortunately, over charging them or using them a lot and keeping them on the bases and not letting them die off can cause this to happen long before it should so go get yourself a new battery (I think Wal Mart has a good selection) Make sure you charge it for a minimum of 8-12 hours before you use it and then let it die completely before you re-charge it. that should work for you.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Uniden cordless handsets don't hold charge

Have you tried replacing the batterys with new rechargables? if not open up the back and replace old batterys with new ones, just see if it works with a normal non rechargable batterys if it does buy some new rechargable, other than that your base i.e. charger may be faulty most likely it is the batterys.

SOURCE: Battery life

I have the same problem. Replacing the battery solves it, but for about 6 months, then the new battery holds less and less charge.

Nwz-w262 battery will not hold charge

If the rechargeable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced. Rechargeable batteries will fail if stored in a discharged state for long periods.
